Gave the car a wee clean today and thought id take some quick pics (sorry its off an iphone)
The main aim was to get as much of the caked on brake dust off the OZ's. I used Turtle Intensive wheel cleaner, which was on offer at £3.99 from Halfrauds.
Its done a steady job tbh!
Been looking at spacers for my Ph1.
Think im sold on 25mm - 5mm as mines lowered on coilovers. Canny be arsed with scrubbing!
Danny - Did you find the car felt much different to drive on this setup?
I used to have the 'must be low mileage' thing aswell until my last couple of Ph1's.
My Ph1 is on 114k and drives and feels better than my old 182 thats 4 years newer and had 60k on the clocks at the time.
But saying that, It could easily be the other way round with other cars... its all...
Thought I'd chuck the Ph1 on the rollers, mainly to see if shes still healthy after 114k and 12 years.
Trust the weather to be utter garbage today :boring: hence the car being just a tad grubby lol.
Quick vid a mate took, It distorts a little which is a shame as its mainly all Ktec induction...
Was a horrendous hold up on the Dual carridgeway going from Sherborne to Yeovil this morning.
After 40 minutes of waiting around, the traffic started to clear.
Here's the culprit.
Thanks for the comments guys :approve:

Also, recieved a foglight off clio_stu yesterday, aswell as these ktec engine mounts off ebay (Im sure it was Laine selling them).
I trawled through some threads, this seems to be the correct part number :S Will have another bash at fitting it, see if Its me being a nob.
I guess they dont make the funky elf one anymore if this fits... :dapprove:
So, onto the absolute shambles of what the engine looked like :dead:
This was nitromours trying to work its way into the paint...and struggling.
A quick trip to toolstation, combined with a powerdrill.
Off with the inlet manifold for paint...
Paint..
And all back together, minus...
So after selling the car over 4 Years ago, I'd always wandered 'is it still alive and well...etc'.
3 weeks ago, on a boring saturday night I was just browsing ebay at the usual rubbish, and fook me sideways, found my old 172 on there!
Needless to say, the next day, after a 340mile round...
I hope you didnt sell it with both side skirts falling off, Shagged coily platforms, Dodgy shock bolts, exhaust hanging off, flakey paint and brake dust infected wheels ;)
Car was in a right s**t state when I picked it back up lol.Still needs the rear bumper painting and a wheel refurb.
Just adding finishing touches to my engine bay, and figured a new oil cap would be benficial.
Now, Renault have supplied me this...
The cars a Ph1 172, and the oil cap does look different...
Plus after a quick attempt at fitting, it doesnt fit lol.
Is this wrong?
:boring:
