I'd often presume I was in a lower gear when driving the ST, purely for the flexible range of torque on offer. Now I'm driving an MCS its time to work again 😅😅

I can't remember how the Eibachs were or I'd probably consider them lol 😂😂

Its been a few years, but I've had Eibachs on an R53 before and they seemed compliant enough for me?! I think Brookie still runs them and hes had the car for over 2 years. I know a decent set of coilovers would be a better option, but I guess the costs involved.

What did you lower yours on mate?

With better tyres, I think it will handle well enough. Like you say its a brilliant little car that sits well as standard compared to say a 1*2. I'm done with lowered cars...I think.

I may look at a JCW tailbox, although it shall possibly get the One-Ball mod before hand to see what its like.

Yeah I've heard people speak highly of the upgrade, I just have other things as a priority I guess, like remove the bloody budget run flats on the back! 🙈 This ones not getting lowered either, I think I'm getting old as it was a toss up between an MCS or a Mondeo ST 😂

It seems good ones hold their value! I sold my old one to @brookie over 2 years ago and I doubt its lost any value/may have gained!

Yeah 2005+ Cars specced with the Chili Pack come with them IIRC. Its more involving, the steering is heavier and feels like its giving more feedback. This thing on runflats is about the same in terms of ride firmness. Its more chuckable and the back end appears a little lighter than the ST but...

Yeah I'm not 100% on them and they need a refurb ideally so I may look at another wheel at somepoint. I much prefer these as a standard wheel.

Well the ST is due to go back shortly and instead of getting another lease etc I decided to re-visit old ground and get another MCS. I was quite fussy when it comes to spec. It had to be 2005 onwards, Grey (Dark Silver) had to have Xenons with preferably full leather and multifunction steering...

Mini Cooper S.. Decent interior, fun, the whineeeee.. £5k will net you a low miler easily with change to spend on goodies.

I must admit, I loaded mine up to the brim with luggage. 3's up down to Devon for a weekend holiday.. The car felt just as good as it did with just me in the driving seat.

I agree with Daniel, the interior quality of the Megane 225 I had wasn't very impressive at all, very cheap feeling plastics that seemed easily scratched.

I hope he takes it well! I don't fancy an awkward meeting with him Tuesday lol :sweat:
