    Tim's Trophy - #455

For the inexcusable nature of my behaviour there will indeed be another trip scheduled, where I can hopefully earn your forgiveness. Sorry mate, not good on my part :(

    Tim's Trophy - #455

That day was close to 400 miles alone, and by the end of it I was ruined, but the whole weekend was the perfect way to become acquainted with the new box and Quaife. Thanks very much to @NorthloopCup for sorting it out for me, it was so nice to drive a great road 'on it' without it being spoilt...

    Tim's Trophy - #455

March 2019 - 69,000 miles Well it's been an interesting couple of months. The car went in to have a service, the refurbished gearbox fitted, and a few other bits. While it was up on the ramp a slight issue was spotted with the Brembo brackets (read more here). Needless to say they came...

    Road Trip/Tour 2019!

I’ve just watched Top Gear and the piece on the new Fiesta ST - Welsh roads, eat your heart out! Fingers crossed that’s where I’ll be on Friday.

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

Saw my first Lamborghini Urus at the King Power on Saturday, although not up close. It was on the reg ‘5OOO’.

    Failed Brembo brackets

Look very similar to me, and mine were also from Chris.

Who is our area rep? South.

Do you post everything in the PH South Coast forum, Nic, or is there a better way of keeping abreast of your group’s regular and ad-hoc meetings?

Micks Monster Burger @ Portsdown Hill. Fri 22nd Feb 7.30

I’m currently in Swanage on a family holiday. We were supposed to come back yesterday but stayed another night. I’ll come down if we don’t stay again and we get back in good time but when she’s making decisions anything is possible!

Last minute Portsmouth meet - this Friday evening 22nd Feb.

Nando’s at Gunwharf Quays? I’ll pop down ?

    Why members don’t attend meets?

I won’t be coming, I find most members have legendary internet personas but are barely tolerable in real life, so I don’t want to shatter any more illusions ?

    Why members don’t attend meets?

Are you still coming down to the South Coast this week? Did you get any response from @TimR26 or @Christopher. about some kind of meet?

    Failed Brembo brackets

I don’t have them yet but when I do get hold of them I’ve got no problem sending them your way if it’s going to help ensure this kind of issue is avoided in your version. I’d definitely be interested to hear the thoughts of an expert too.

    Road Trip/Tour 2019!

Not yet mate, still a good few weeks - give the fine weather a chance to clear so the sub-zero temperatures and snow can return ?

    Failed Brembo brackets

I’m on the lookout for an alternative spot to keep the car! It was the 280mm setup. I didn’t go for the PMS option as I don’t believe 300mm discs are compatible with 15s.

    Bought in a group buy on here so I’ve tagged a host of others who were involved and/or may be interested. @NorthloopCup @masekwm @nellyscaff @Korky @notfastnotfurious @eon172 @Fat914 @Christopher. @MartinR @james alford @bloke @Warner172 @OssPoop @ACS_Motorsport These were fitted about two...

Map Check in the South East, recommendations

Ktec mapping was reportedly an issue few years ago, are there recent problems? Engine Dynamics are probably a fair shout, worth calling at least.

    Clio 182 Trophy

I doubt you’ll learn anything on it, plus there’s no useful history on the Trophy forum. Where is it now?

    Road Trip/Tour 2019!

Personally I just stay in the cheapest sea-front B&B in Aber. Wales has thousands of hotels, B&Bs and campsites offering options to suit all budgets and needs, but finding somewhere which meets everyone in a group’s requirements could be tricky. If it was me I’d pick a town, find somewhere...

    Road Trip/Tour 2019!

In case it helps your planning, I'm going in a few weeks and here's my route. Start early doors, cruise down the M4 and get into Wales at a reasonable time, then enjoy the day. https://goo.gl/maps/wxsQuKGJnXs I've not planned my second day, I'll probably do that over breakfast in the morning.

Baby monitors and other baby stuff

Surplus to requirements in case anyone’s interested. BT Baby Monitor Pacifier. We’ve had this 6 years and it’s been excellent. Bought a Motorola with a video screen for our 2nd born and it lasted a year before it went it the bin. The BT unit saved the day. The screen is a bit sketchy as you...

    Tim's Trophy - #455

February 2019 - 68,000 miles I’ve decided to take the plunge - I’ve had a refurbished box for a while now, and while it was being overhauled last year I thought it was a good time to add a Quaife. It’s all going to be fitted into the car next week ahead of a weekend in Wales next month, to see...

Anyone know the paint code for OZ F1 alloy?

I think 182 alloys are Ixell 205-88 but the older wheels probably had a different colour.

    Spigot Rings

They might be, but worth measuring as not all are the same centre bore.

    Spigot Rings

60.1mm is the Clio side, but nobody will know what size your wheels are. Time to measure them.

    Broadband.

Customer service is irrelevant when you’ve no need to contact them, and I’d hazard a guess that’s the vast majority of cases. When you do it’s probably because something has gone wrong, so they’ll have to do very well indeed to convert that to a positive outcome. So I probably wouldn’t read...
