If I was doing mine again then I would go the volvo turbo lump, can get a full car for about £500 for the conversion.
Speak to the guys at Nocturnal Developments about the 1.7 turbo lump as they are having excellent results with it :)
How come volvo turbo lumps in 5's are running mid to high 12 quarters then? Not seen any clio's with 2.0 running 12's yet, Adam's is close but still not done it.
Still arse?
214 bhp @ 20 psi on standard 1.7 block I believe, cost about a quarter of what TB's and 2.0 bottom end would, and...
1.7 volvo turbo lump, bullet proof and good for 200bhp cheaply enough, more torque aswell, I would personally go for that over TB's etc, get loads more bhp per £ :)
Conversion looks easy enough aswell :D
Got a few things sorted now regarding the clio 16v engine bay, and the clio 16v smoothed bonnet.
But wanted to start a thread of what other people would like doing, not saying they are going to be done, but it gives an idea of what to do next.
If when people post something that they would...
You wish!
Told you before, I am not getting a matching england tracksuit and going down the park with you too swig a few cans of Special brew, its never going to happen!
I just want my carbon stuff now! If I hadn't had my roof rails smoothed over then could have had a carbon skinned roof :(
Glad you got the bonnet at last mate ;)
I am taking back twistedstyling and its going to be just used as a shop format, selling lots of carbon goodies for a variety of cars :D
Will keep people posted :D
And that bonnet was a fooking bargain!!
If your really that worried then you can setup some external jump points, basically just run a feed from the live side of your battery down to somewhere where you can reach it from under the car, or into the inner wing, something like that, so you can still attach jump leads and get enough power...
Just to let people know, I will post on the forums when more carbon fibre bits and pieces are available for the clio, an online shop is currently being made but won't be live for a few weeks yet :)
Cheers Paul aka ClioTurbo for starting to spread the word :D:D
Hopefully a large product...
Got smoothed MK1 clio 16v bonnets coming soon in carbon, going to get a few made up and sold :) Just not sure how easy it will be to get a mould of the tailgate though.
Hello mate :D Yeah got a bit bored of the blue, and the bodywork got a bit battered driving it everyday, so after I killed a Liner decided to change everything again, and now 2 years later its back and running!!
All good thanks :D Yourself? Clio looks well in your Avatar thingy :D
Yeah...
Looks good that :D
I thought about getting some made up, just hard to get them to fit right, have to see what happens as might have figured out how to do it now :)
Afternoon ;)
Looking nice that DJW Dave :D
No its not the same car, thats Torsion Tuning's old demo car, not a clue who own's it now though :(
This is my car:
Been looking into a few different options with regards to the clio suspension and after reading around, been debating the airbag route, only kit I can find so far is from the states:
