Mileage is pretty good for a mk1, engines are usually pretty strong also so shouldn't be many issues there, engines are usually tappy Engines are no harder to work on than the mk2's and cambelts are a thousand times easier and a lot cheaper to do Parts are becoming hard to come by though

what would you be looking at using it for? Mk1's are super rusty and probably not a good choice for daily driving. 172 is alot more practical. mk1's are going up in price tho so could Be more of an investment and are cool AF

Imo factory with bolt on upgrades. Although id definitely remove the sunroof

yard with a hyab or whatever its called always grabs my stuff. Usually collect in a 10 mile radius. Other option is chop it up and chuck it in a van

These mk1's are dreadful for rust and Renault don't stock any repair panels for the wide arch :( that's why you rarely see them around I guess

Finally got around to polishing my turbines today seeing as I had the day off and the weather was pretty sweet :) The whole car needs a good clean next and is desperate for a good polish! :)

I never jack sills due to experience on mk1's. Always sub frame bolt at the front and beam mount for the rear ☺

il chuck a new one on then, is that for the belt or both the belt and tensioner? Thanks for your help :)
