My old set up was:
Brembo HC discs
Ferrodo DS2500 pads
Braided lines and DOT 5.1 fluid.
Never had any problems and did a few trackdays with them.

Currently running exalto's. Can't fault them at all. Expensive but worth the money.
Rears are near the end of their life so am going to try the Hancook's V12's and see how I get on.
We decided to head through Ongar rather than through Dunmow, we just didn't make that decision until we had already passed the turning so had to head back! :o

I had the same happen to me. Took 9 months and the possibility of going to court to eventually get it resolved. I got hit from behind and pushed into an old lady in front. The lady that hit me from behind told her insurance that I had already hit the lady in front and she was only liable for...
I think I remember reading somewhere it's to stop a build up of crud causing the light pattern to be affected. So in effect cleaning the headlights should stop the pattern becoming deformed and blinding on-coming drivers.
On that budget I would be looking at a Ph1 172. A Ph2 will more than likely be a dog.
Running costs aren't too bad. I get around 35mpg in mine. Tax I think is £215 for 12 months.
