Im quite liking the flocked look at the moment and just did a search for it. Pretty awesome stuff but there doesn't seam to be any Ph2s with flocked dashes?
Anyone got one?
Anyone know of any garages selling part worn tyres in Hertfordshire?
I have been on this all day after the original garage I was going to quoted me £30 for 2 tyres with free balancing. They keep telling me they don't have any tyres that fit my car now and actually just hang up on me.
I have...
Yeah that's what I thought but it wasn't moving at all. I will have to give it a go tomorrow now... who's smart idea was it to work 5 days a week haha.
Even the negative was stuck to the terminal, the sparks from it actually helped to remove it.
Right had some time at lunch today, the negative is easy to remove but the positive has baffled me... I tried twisting it and pulling it and no luck, in fact twisting was totally impossible.
Right after spending 30 mins trying to get through to this garage they asked me what my tyre size was... all I know is its on 14" steel rims. Does anyone know the tyre sizes?
I phoned them last week and they just asked what car and the year.
Just one last thing, probably my dad trying to convince me not to touch anything on my car again as per usual. If I disconnect the battery, will this reset the engine management? My dad has a Cmax and on his, you need to run the engine for 15 mins after reconnecting the battery so that it resets...
I just had a look at this and not entirely show how the clamps come off of the battery? It looks like there's some kind of twist thing on top of the battery terminal connector.
Does this just twist and pull off?
As said above.
I have a LED one in mine, it fades ok but it does not turn off! It will turn off but it still gives out a very tiny amount of light. Not enough to illuminate anything though.
I blew the 30A fuse last night while fitting a new head unit and now I cant work out what kind of fuse it is.
I know its a blade fuse I need but google is coming up with strange voltages like 32v, which sounds pretty high for a car... especially when the battery is only 12v.
Anyone know where...
Mine blew because I made a foolish mistake.
The power cable has a rubber cap missing on the connector which shorted out on the metal cage and blew the fuse taking out the interior lights, sound system and the dash screen.
I only had a 25 fuse spare so I have used that and so far so good, I...
Thanks guys, I figured this out now. It's only taken an hour or 2... or maybe 3 haha!
Yeah it came with a cable as you described with 1 plug for the head unit that splits into 2. There was just a bit of extra wiring to do on the lead that came with it which is apparently for cars that arn't...
Ouch ok, it was delivered not long after I posted this... I just had a look and it would actually be easier to wire spaghetti, its far from plug and play.
Here's some of the pictures...
I am totally confused, it looks like I have to cut all the wires off the original leads which is the...
Does anyone know what ISO adapter I need to fit an Alpine head unit into my Mk2 Ph1 Clio? I done a search on ebay and it was coming up with a few for really old bangers or the old mark 1 Clios.
No problem, some people haven't had problems with them but from my experience I would avoid them at all costs.
Pretty cool unit, it does a lot for the price. The 111RM is the one with an orange illumination if I remember rightly, I went for the green illumination but I hear the orange one...
That looks good, I would be careful if you buy from car audio centre though... I bought a head unit through them and have had nothing but trouble from them from the start.
Back on topic though, the head unit I bought is an Alpine CDE-111R. I got mine for £100 so its well under your budget, it...
Anyone got any ideas on the brightest legal headlight bulbs in the UK?
I bought some xenon effect halogens a while back and they are pretty dim... With winter coming up fast I want something a lot brighter, especially as my route home is mostly country roads.
I was wondering how long it would take for someone to post this haha!
I noticed it as well, looked pretty beaten up to me. The Micra driver with the 3 flat tyres made me laugh though, 2 of them where completely shreaded.
