A quick google search says it's something to do with G forces on the car during high speed cornering that bends the chassis. Apparently this affects the cars handling... It's made my Cobra a bit slower but still handles well.

I think its fine on a-spec, just turn all of the aids off and it slides around corners with no problems. Just my level 10 b-spec driver keeps bouncing it off the limiter, crashing into walls and slamming on the brakes miles before corners and half way through overtaking.
