if the shocks are badly worn then it'll never handle as it should, i would have them all replaced, standard renault cup ones are very cheap for these cars
It most likely will be wear and tear, I fitted the yanoo kit with brass bushes (fast road kit 1) and it feels so much better and precise, its tight once fitted but loosens up after a few miles, think it was around £50/60 quid or so
I used gtechnic on my 172 on all exterior plastics including front grills, they were slightly faded having never been treated before, but now look like brand new and will not need looking at for at least a year which suits me perfectly
The tie bars for a 172 cup are longer than standard 172,s, pretty sure they are 310mm long, I ordered some qh ones a few months back of eBay, I'd need to check my emails,
grab selector and put it in fifth gear (twist fully to drivers side and pull towards rear of the car) then slide the clamp over and position it in 5th gear from under the car, then just nip the bolt up, 10 minute job
Remove the home made bolt holding the swing arm, lubricate it and work up and down, it's likely seized, I was having the same issues so just renewed the whole lot, pipes, flexi's, compensator, callipers etc all round, should be trouble free for a few years
From what I seen on the net he had issues from day one, issue with parts flocked, items missing, items not received etc week in week out, there's other companies who do flocking, I would never of given him any work as couldn't of been done with the hassle tbh, unless you persue it through small...
That's the main issue with modifying car for me, finding somewhere decent to do it, can't wait to move house, will only buy one if it has or can have a big garage
So is this the start of the 225 engine getting fitted, and are you going with the meg or Clio box?
It will require to be removed regardless so best just fitting a new pump & aux belt kit, i'd also fit a new thermostat while your there as the coolant will also be getting replaced, these are all serviceable items which a lot of people miss out on
Nice motor and congrats on the mag feature, but just how fast over a standard car is the low blow conversion, what's it on par with now in relation to other cars such as focus rs etc?
Check resistance and fit a suitable resistor, make sure it has a firm connection within the plug, clear code then your sorted, it's likely you don't have a good/tight enough connection between the resistor and the plug
