The front should go right down without scrapping tbh, mine was decked to the max and no scrubbing atall, To sort the jack issue, use a scissors jack of some sort, i have one from a corsa i use to get it up enough so the proper jack can go in and jack it up :)

Passenger wheel look behind the arch into the front bumper, and pull the white cable off the horn, that will disarm the horn as its the live feed. Just make sure it connects back for MOT,

Update: Still doesnt work. Did the following, Live from battery with fuse holder in place to pin 1 on the new horn button, then from horn button down to the horn, And nothing, Did add another earth to it just incase it was that, also used 2amp/5amp/10amp fuse's none which worked. So...
