Hmm, what was it that Jeremey Clarkson and that other wee journo guy said on Top Gear.....
Wee Guy -" I drove one at launch, I broke one"
JC - "Yeah, I broke one too, I think we all did!"
My first 172 was a bag of spanners, couldnt pull the skin of the preverbial!!The pull low down on the replacement car was like comparing night and day with the first one.
2nd gear , 20mph in the Cup prior to my bro modding it was also very quick!!
The Renault website always stated 0-60 in less than 7seconds for the MK2 172. I managed 6.9 on my AP22, also did a 15.0 1/4 mile, must have been mid 6s in that run!
....connector.
Does anyone know where I can get a hold of convertor to allow me to plug the aerial lead from my brothers Cup to a new Kenwood HU?
Cheers
Paul
I think it calculates the ammount left in the tank by using your average MPG at the time. So your MPG may say 32, from that it may say you have 45 miles left, however the MPG indicator is not instant, so if youre bombing along the motorway at 85-90, you aint getting 32MPG and you aint getting...
I think youd be daft to buy an import car now. Brokers can match if not beat the OTR costs of the importers, youll also loose less money on the car in the long run!
My first insurance policy was on a Civic Type-R, I was 23, it was only slightly more than £1K, Id imagine with the right postcode itd be a lot less than that!
"The mk1 was sh*t slow!! it posted an 8.3 sec test time then the SAME CAR posted a 6.6sec 0-60 at the 0-100-0 test later on that year. (i was there)"
I thought it was an early production LHD car that posted the crap time!
On my elephant policy it states;
"Anything that alters the manufacturers standard specification"
Id take it from that, that ou do not need to decalre factory mods!
I have a spare one sitting in the garage, it is in good condition apart from curb damage around 1/4 of the wheel, after some b**ch ran me into the curb!!
£40 + P+P!
Over £100 from Renault!
