The springs only drop it by 20mm but what a difference in handling!!
After putting the 17s on the handling was.... at the least a bit twitchy!!! but now its just great and even better than standard..IMO.
They are 17s with 205-40 tyres and a 40 offset , so near enough not to scrub...

Actually ....got the Eibach Prokit Springs fitted on and its not that low.
AFAIK there is only 1 other MK2 172 with these on......they do look cool IMO

What about Motorpoint/Tradesales and the like. Although they are sourced in Europe they are UK spec...apart from the lack of alarm, and you get 3years warranty.
Think the 172 still go for £11999 +RFL.
Looking again at your pictures I think your Viper looks a bit smaller than mine. Then again you said it was off a Mini.
How long was your cold air feed pipe?? my new one (same as yours) isnt the same length as my old one (old one 60mm dia cardboard!!!) and wont fit down to my front grill...
I never trust the fuel computer either.
It tells me im doing on average 36/38mpg but when i fill it up and work it out its actually 29/30mpg!!! so the miles left to do is wrong. I go by the needle position and never let it get anywhere near the red.
Thought about doing this to mine. They now look so grubby and dont clean very well.

only made 161bhp @ the last RR day...but I found out later that my cold air feed to the Viper had come off and the pipe had fell to bits..(cardboard pipe).
Got a new one now...bigger bore and for free from them nice PiperX boys along with the nice and shiney red ends

Didnt someone have this happen on the french trip last year??? Sounds the same.....clouds of white..ish smoke. I believe it was an injector problem.

Its been nicked then...mine was an import and it had one. Although if you replace the head unit it would become a doorstop!! as only the OE head will work it. Dont think the cable...if that is there...will work with anything else either, could be wrong tho.

My Viper has had the airfeed pipe dissintegrate!!! only checked it yesterday after the induction note completely changed. This is probably why my results sucked at the Northampton RR Day!! Looked as though a couple of the bends have split so it has been sucking...
Asked my Ins Co and they wernt even bothered about an alarm!!!! just as long as it had an immobilser, which was fitted as standard. (import).
Only fitted the 2-1 upgrade for my own peace of mind.
Its the dogs....Jeez..thought I got a bargain at £310!!!
Yes... I had to buy the external aerial as the UV screen blocked the signal but then ALL gps units will suffer with that screen...even Mercs and BMWs!!! It did work sometimes but I wasnt prepared to risk it.

Saw an M reg Willy 3 today for sale @ £5700!!! god they hold their price!!! hope mines worth that much when its that old. We always keep our cars for at least 7years.....thats plenty of time out of warranty to mod...:) will TBs be cheap by then????
What about the price??? did it reflect the fact it was an import?? I dont know what official UK cars and Import cars go for 2nd hand tho.
The only difference is the alarm anyway...and my insurance were not interested in whether it had one or not, only wanted to know it had an immobiliser...
