I know nothing about DVI so don't know if there are 2 types. If you're sure there is only the one type(?) then that's good enough for me.
Seems there could be different types: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVI My screens are actually VGA so I'd use a VGA to DVI with the DVI to HDMI. The type I'd...
Yes mate. The guy I spoke to at ocUK said they must have sent me out a newer model as the description on the site says 2x DVI. Seems a lot easier to buy an adapter than send the card back for one that does have 2 DVI ports.
Received my Palit 8800GT today. It's got 1x DVI and 1x HDMI. I need a HDMI -> DVI adapter so I can run 2 TFT's off it. Overclockers tell me you can get an adapter for a few quid but they didn't have any in and I'm having trouble finding one.
Can anyone give me a link?
Need something that works both with XP 32bit and Vista 64bit.
CDBurnerXP has crashed windows 3 times today and I've had enough. Ideally I want something free or at least cheap. Any suggestions?
If she's getting loads she needs to be running a spyware/malware scan. Might also be worth running HiJackThis ( http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php ) and posting on http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ with the log that it generates.
If there isn't a problem then firefox coupled with...
If you're getting virtual memory warnings you really ought to be thinking about putting more memory in. It's pretty cheap these days, I'd see what type you'd need and price it up.
As it went so well with the Mrs I've sneakily ordered an 8800GT 512MB as well ;) and Crysis so I've got something to do whilst I'm offline (moving house)
The vista upgrade advisor reckons I'll only have issues with my wireless card but I've checked and there is a vista driver available now so hopefully I won't have any problems.
The Mrs hasn't killed me, looks like the thought of an upgrade worked :D We're one of those geeky couples with a pc...
Possibly a stupid decision but we'll see... I've ordered Vista Home Premium 64bit along with 4GB memory (2x 2GB).
To keep the Mrs sweet I've ordered her a cheap Athlon X2 Dual Core 3600+ (£24 would you believe?) which she can have with the 2x 1GB I'll take out of my machine, my old X2 rated...
We've got a pair of Philips SE6352 DECT phones but would like to add an additional handset. I've looked high and low but cannot find one. Am I able to add a different model / brand and if so how?
My uniross 2700 batteries have an appalling lifespan. I've given up using them and stocked up on kodak batteries when they were doing buy a pack of 12 ad get another pack free. The normal kodak batteries also last longer in my camera.
Tools -> Internet Options -> Security
Either change the level (Medium-high is default) or click advanced and look for Scripting -> Active Scripting and enable it.
If it is enabled already then you broke it, so use firefox instead ;)
To cut a long story short my mum's new pc doesn't have a parallel port so my dad bought this: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/124657
Printer is a HP PSC 500 All in One.
Windows XP has detected the printer and installed the driver and it's set up on LPT3.
The problem is that the printer prints...
There's only so much tweaking you can do. More memory and a faster processor are what's needed. Also if you haven't yet then install the correct graphics drivers, running on generic will see a performance hit.
