Bought one this morning, fully updated. Go to navigate to, enter postcode, choose correct road from drop down list. Takes me to a screen with a bit of a map and a black bar along the bottom. Cannot interact with this screen, assume it's going to calculate the route but it doesn't instead the...
Finally sacked the Mrs from her sat nav job and bought a TomTom One v3 today.
It's currently connected to my pc, I assume as the charge light is on that it's charging and again I assume when the light goes out it's finished?
There's some crap about tapping the screen 3 times to charge it...
I've switched from Bitdefender to NOD32. Found a 3 month NOD32 trial so can try it out for a decent amount of time before buying it. So far I'm very impressed at how light weight it is.
Personally I use Tuneup Utilities 2008 http://www.tuneup-software.co.uk/products/tuneup-utilities/ Try ebay for resellers, can usually get it for a few quid. There are free alternatives but this bundles everything together and it's very easy to use.
It does everything from defragging the...
Could be wasting your money doing it this way then. If your machine is that old it's unlikely to have a PCIE slot which modern graphics cards require which would mean changing the motherboard and in doing that your memory probably wouldn't work and if it did would be bottlenecking. Really you...
What did you expect Norton to do? ;)
You'll probably find that running a good free antivirus program will remove the virus. Try AVG Free. http://free.grisoft.com/. You'll need to remove Norton.
Pictures are mine but obviously as it's google everything else is a template. Clicky
I do know how to make one from scratch I just can't be arsed and took the easy route.
Get adblock plus as well for firefox to block all those annoying adverts that sites have these days. Any it doesn't block you can manually add to the block list. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
Firefox 3 is practically finished and stable so you may as well try that instead...
Samsung Digimax S700 problem
I know someone with a Samsung Digimax S700 and it's suddenly developed a problem in that when you press the button to take a picture nothing happens.
They've swapped the batteries, taken the memory card out and reset to factory settings. They say the button seems...
You could do it all for free but don't expect much when it comes to reliability.
You need:
Host (webspace)
Domain name
Forum software & licence if applicable
Software: SMF and phpbb are the popular free ones. vBulletin and Invision Powerboard are the popular paid for ones.
Coax it from the RF out as mentioned above and get a magic eye from ebay. If you use proper decent quality coax the picture on the 2nd tv will be as good as on the main tv.
Anything is better lol You'll notice a speed increase if you uninstall it as well.
AVG Free http://free.grisoft.com/ would be better, I use BitDefender which you can pick up cheap from resellers via ebay usually.
You sure they're not just adverts on sites you're visiting? If you use Firefox then install adblock plus. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
BT do pretty much the same thing now. £5.95 per month with first 3 months free. Unlimited landline calls up to 1 hour, 15 friends and family numbers which can include international, BT privacy, 200 inclusive text messages and reduced cost to mobiles.
Not really. I've seen them go for more than on pc sites.
