Thats it. At that price difficult to pick fault.
I really didn't want to sound like a 'boyracer' but it makes a nice rumble and even though I said keep it quiet I can't complain. It is a nice sound just a bit too loud.
Saves exhaust falling off every couple of years don't it!
It's my old backbox. Nowt wrong with it. Just had stainless steel fitted so no use to me. I know that they aren't in alot of places books (they have to ring and order one) and Renualt is pricy.
So just might help someone out...
Spotted a chap in a silver ph1 Vee. Think he spotted me turn and look at his motor.
Tried to point out to my missus but she had it on her. Was at side of him before entering roundabout. Looked like he knew he had a nice motor.
Er if you stick to 65 at tickle throttle then no. After that booms a bit till bout 90 where it starts to quieten. Didn't want it loud but for the price I'm not grumbling.
£135 for middle pipe. £210 for middle and back box. £250 for stainless steel with gurantee. I go for gurantee any day. 2...
Oh thought once it sooted up would be quieter. Seems louder in car than out!
Seen sign saying Eurosport exhausts. Not sure. Will try and get under it and post some pics. Maybe even try a sound clip. The exhuast is stealthed so exit nowt to write home about but thats what I wanted. I like the...
No replies. Oh well.
Got it back today. Nice rumble. Bit louder than wanted but it looks sweet and nicely fitted. The guy ran over to me when I turned up and was really cuffed with his work and loved the sound. Don't think he was sh**ing me cause he is generally quite calm.
Can't fault it at...
Middle pipe cracked. Got told £110 for it and back box only got upto year left. £200 for both. Managed to get cat back stainless steel for £250 inc vat when should of been £275 plus vat!
It's at ETS tyres. The guy is a geek but v.good from what people say. He knows all the parts off by heart...
Oh dear. I wanted a Stealth one and one thats not too noisy.
Would rather hear the engine than a throaty (bad spelling) exhaust.
What would you recommend? Heard Magnex are good for performance but I really don't want a really droney throated exhuast had that before and did my head in a 3-4k...
I'm 26 and paid £450 for insurance with full NCD!
I looked at getting a newer less mileage 1.2 but once I drove the 172 ph1 I've got there is no comparision. I moaned about the insurance and car tax but when sat in it the car is great. Seats are right comfy and I like the interior even though...
I have a Mk2 ph1 172. I don't drive it much. 50% of time in a garage.
I always give it a second to tick over and never thrash it cold. The oil is clean enough but about to change filter and oil to full synth since I don't know what the poor garage used for the service that they apparently did...
Someone else has problem now. I just like things to work. Didn't get done for aircon post.
Anyone live near Underwood will know of the misterious Underwood fog and it's my way home!
Had same question. Got flamed for wanting them on but that just made me laugh. If you search I think you'll find the couple of day old post.
I checked the fuses, have you? Also there is the conector between the bumper which apparently is prone to water. Mine worked sometimes but haven't for...
Don't worry I don't want to use them all the time! There is enough Chavs round my house without me buying a loud exhaust on 1.2 and turning fogs on.
It's just annoying and I do live in Derbyshire and there is some right country lanes to have fun on (they may come in handy for spotting sheeps...
