Yeah never said it was broke. I know top one does split but like all Renault mounts they go soft. The top mount isn't split so thought I'd replace this one in an effort to loose the banging when accelerating.

Thats true but I didn't mean burning through. I meant the paint thickness. If it has been polished a load of times before and there is a thin patch of paint you can go through it. Not burn through. End of day to remove paint you are cutting paint back.
