kinda like the stealthbox from autoacoustics - but with the stealthbox, you get to choose your own sub.
Nice to have a choice with these things though I guess.
I doubt the loom can supply 20 amps and thats what the stereo is fused at.
If you have a melt down, you only have yourself to blame. It does say dont connect this to your loom, connect it directly to the battery.
If you want a loom safe radio, you should have gone for a less powerful one -...
Please excuse me for butting in here, but hopefully Mike172sport will re-visit this thread...
Im having alarm trouble too, if I lock my car and then suddenly realise Ive left something in it I need, I have to wait until the little locked doors light goes off before I can get in it again. This...
Take the A pillar trims off. It wont budge if you dont. They slide up and out once unclipped.
Pull off the door seals and youll see how they clip on. I think there are three clips, and then one extra thing that actually clips into the metal frame. Just stick your little finger in there and...
what size fuses do the amps have?
Ive got a couple of amps..both JL audio ones. Theyre running off 4 guage with a 60amp fuse up front. havent blown it yet.
Sorry, that was all I got really in terms of figures!
Havent been anywhere to do any times yet either.
It just helps balance out the weight of the ICE in the boot!
Well this is my car before / after having a unichip fitted.
Car is standard except for the magnex twin 3.5" exhaust.

On mine, the alarm cables had already been pushed through the bonnet release grommet so it was easy to just slide the 4 guage power cable through. You can stick you hand down inside the engine bay behind that cover and just pull the cable up. No need to remove anything.
Anyone know if this is possible on a Mk2 172?
I understand theyre supposed to be self adjusting but mine seem to stop too close to the car since ive had it lowered and filled the boot up with ICE.
I can only see a little way infront of me when its dark and its dangerous!
I got some ramps from halfords once. Didnt have a chance in hell of getting the car up onto them without first taking off the front bumper.
Needless to say, I got my money back on them.
no, mine is exactly like telford_mikes. I fitted it myself so I must have done a good job ;) Phew!
Go on mate, get one! Youll love it! Why wait and just cause yourself more stress trying to resist when you know youll only end up buying one anyway?!
very easy. takes me about 5 mins now if that!
yes you get a roar...only its more of a sucking noise!
You might be able to hear mine in this.

I never had the cold start problem BEFORE I had the chip fitted, only after.
I disconnected the battery one day and left it for a couple of hours, connected it back up and ive not had the problem since.
install it all again properly?!
No seriously, just keep the amp powercables well away from any speaker wires.
Ive got power down the passenger side and speaker down the drivers.
No hummmmm, buzzzzzz or anything :)
Same goes for in the boot too. Route them so they go nowhere near each other.
Yeah I know, I should really. It took me two weeks to find out how to open to door!
Im even going to do you a favour and get someone to drive you around in yours. Youre obviously pretty mailto:cr@p">cr@p at it!
;)
