As my horn has failed on the PH1 172 i am looking to replace it with a Siebel.Nautilus. Due to high current draw for this type can anyone tell me if the OEM fitted horn is supplied on a relay circuit ?

I think i will fly in the face of the popular vote and go for 'white' :) But then to be honest cant be bothered to go and get some white 'fridge' paint so they are staying satin black..... Next question - do i lacquer satin black ?

i have painted my sunflower wheels satin black but i am still tempted to do them in appliance white. what is the general concensus white or black ? what shall i do ? i have seen a pic of a sunflower 172 with white but cant remember where ... anyone ?

For the purpose of repairing my front bumper i need to get some paint. How far will .5 litre get me when spraying ? Damage is on n/s corner but may respray front lower as it has been kerbed quite a bit...

My Phase 1 172 has developed a rattle at idle when clutch pedal is FULLY DEPRESSED. I assumed this could be the release bearing. Am i correct ? As i lift the clutch pedal slowly the noise disappears, after an inch or so of movement. Answers on a postcard :)

quite easy but need some tools. top mounts can be difficult to get undone.

still waiting for my wishbone to arrive. backorder in france so had to get one through a diff supplier. the it failed to turn up due to the weather. took a hammer to my old one and knocked the bushes back into place... hopefully get it sorted later today...

i did this on my 172. my bottom arm shifted on the bushes resulting in the wheel sitting closer to the rear of the wheelarch. check the subframe isnt damaged. i visually checked mine ( against the other side ) and could see no distortion. apparently they twist quite easily. have you checked...

While on the subject of yellow cars. What colour do i paint my refurbed wheels ? Black or white ?

Fitted a set of Apex springs to the 172. Had a word with the nominated tracking company ! The guy asked me if it had been lowered. Anyone on here had issues with getting the tracking right once it has been lowered ( -40mm i believe ) ? Id rather have good tracking than the Apex springs. If it...
