just ordered a set. also improve 0-60 time on the car. apparently they work like a bolt on KERS system. ( see new F1 regs for this year ). can fit optional power boost button to release energy stored in flywheel, may upgrade to this later depending on funds......

I have been checking some old posts and have noted that the subframes suffer when attacking kerbs.
I have had a quick check side to side on mine and as far as i can tell it all looks good.
When a subframe bends from a heavy kerbing where does it tend to bend\twist ?

just did the same myself. understeered into a high kerb on petrol forecourt.
slight front bumper, wheel, mashed foglight and damaged wheelarch liner.
steering to the left heavily. checked one side to the other and the bottom arm is bent :(
could be worse i guess...
In my experience a clutch bearing tends to squeal and also this cant be heard from the gearbox side. Leads me to believe its not release bearing.
Will be a s**t if it is bearing :(

i put a new one in mine. The sensor is about £22 from Renault.
Remove the engine cover and you can access it from down the back. Its just to the right of the exhaust with a cover over it to stop it melting.
This is the first thing to try.
my 172 (2001 ) with aircon has started to smell of rotten eggs ( in the car, not under bonnet ). could this be an issue with the air con ? seems to come and go ? too many brussel sprouts ?
