i think mick deserves the crown eventhough he is on airbags. that thing is rediculously low but i thought my old rep was certainly in there with a shout.
yeh ek9's have a seam welded chassis, which an ek3/4 and ej9 dont. thats the main chassis difference but other than that an ek9 is still distinctly different with a different engine, interior and bumpers etc
try and get an insurance qoute mate. im about £700 for my ek9 and so was dean i think. i just turned 21 so i think you will be surprised at how cheap the insurance will be for a group 20 insurance car.
yeh im sure that guy that owns that civic is martins mate. ive saw it a few times about...
all ek9's are 1.6's mate. the civic vti has a b16a2 engine producing just over 160bhp and the civic ek9 has a b16b engine producing 185bhp.
the one in the pic was actually a 1.4 that had front end damage and the guy put an ek9 body kit on it and im sure it also has a b18 engine from a teg aswell
it all adds up mate. refurb plus tyres and they will eventually set you back £450-£500 if not more depending on where you go for the refurb and what tyres you go for
car looks very nice mate. if your after a set of custom springs for the rear then i have the set that foxy used to have. i will be selling them very soon so if your interested give me a shout:)
I dont drive a clio mate. also you cant compare a clio to a focus r's as its in a different league. there are plenty focus r's in dundee. like i said i saw 3 today just coming home and i see them on a regular basis but maybe i notice them more because of their presence on the road.
Sounds like your all sorted then lol. doing the work yourself will save you an absolute fortune aswell. I shall defo keep an eye on this thread mate so keep us updated:)
Very impresive malice. Finished product should be a work of art. Are you doing the build yourself or is someone else doing it for you? also will you be upgrading anything in your box or are you happy with the standard gearing?
