Cheers revels. haha yeh its had a silly amount spent on it in a very short period of time but im planning on keeping this for a while anyways and so i think its worth doing it right the first time round. Next on the list is the remap, which on its own with the new hondata s300 ecu will be around...
Althoough the previous owner painted the supercharger housing it wasnt the best job and was starting to flake
So i stripped it down with paint stripper and polished the lettering and repainted it with vht high temp engine paint
while i was at it i polished up a few other bits in...
thanks guys. lol mikey studnet loan i get for the entire year barely covers the cost of the wheels. dont know where the rest of my pictures went but will see if i can post them again
Well i think this project thread is long overdue now so here is the build up of my supercharged ek9 so far:
Some of you may remember my clio, which was genuinley my pride and joy for the last 3 years but i got to a stage earlier on in the year where there was nothing else i could do to it so...
coming together nicely now malice ,ate. Take it your getting it mapped on the apexi ecu? or are you going to be running a ddifferent ecu with the new set up?
first i have heard of his malice. On almost all forums including the ek9 forum they have been getting excellent reviews especially because of their dampening. Alot of evo's, scoobs and ek9's are running these with no problems and from what people say they are great value for money. well they are...
cheers richy haha you r more than welcome to jump in with me next year if you wish. btw i got ur txt and just pm'd you but dont know if you got the message?
lol take it your not a big fan of bc coilovers malice? every review i have read has been very positive and for the money they are probably the best you can buy for a civic. i have tein superstreets on at the moment but the dampening is just too harsh even at the softest setting.
rev limit is 8900k standard. Revving it to 10500 is certainly not recommended. Very few ek9's exist that have the spoon gridle (block brace) to strengthen the cranckshaft past 9500 rpm installed allowing it to rev to 11000rpm. I think your mates car possibly had the limiter removed allowing it...
cheers mate yeh it was a nice base for a project. It needed tidying up when i bought it but thats what makes a good project imo. Merks is a facelift racebase model with a n/a b16b engine. I was looking at a few before i bought my one and i had a look at the one merk bought when it was up for...
Gally it coming along well mate. I will put up a project thread up next week but its almost unrecognisable now since when dean had it. Spent almost the whole summer working on it basically. Picked up a set of forged wheels for it last month and just got my new bc racing coilovers through the...
looks like a tidy example mate. have you had it machine polished? if not get it done because it makes a hell of a difference and brings the colour back nicely. also is that a benen tow hook or a tegiwa one?
It took me months to find a set in the uk in my fitment and 5 sets in different sizes and fitments does not exactly make them common as muck malice. Also if regas arent rare then which wheels are?? ce28n's? rpf1's?
i just got a set of regas too but tbh gaz there is not a single thing that hasnt been done to death on hondas. i understand where you are coming from in terms of the cars in this thread but i think it is still fair to say they are rare wheels, which your not likely to see in your on a daily...
Not sure if i would agree with that gaz. Proper desmond regamasters are not made any more are rare wheels to come by. I know very few hondas that have proper regas however loads of hondas these days run rota slipstreams which are copies that can be easily confused for regas. I see alot more...
the jdm ep3's were actually made in the uk and shipped to japan but were never sold here. the jdm ep3 came in champonship white and had recaro seats as standard. Ukdm version has 200bhp and jdm has 212bhp due to different cams, intake, exhaust ect. Biggest difference was that it came with lsd as...
I bought some 4 pot front calipers that i would like stripped down, powdercoated and rebuild with new seals and was wondering if anyone knew anybody that offers this service?
Aye dean 9 is going good mate. im not insured on it so its been tucked away in the garage till the clio gets sold then it will be going to will hinchcliff to get remaped on hondata s300 engine management. maybe also thinking about getting it intercooled while its down at will's but will see how...
