thanks for the positive comments guys. tis much appreciated as usual :)
tis indeed mate.
haha cheers mate :). if it ever gets sold it will be in bits. otherwise i probably wont even see half the money i put into it. Not thinking about selling at the moment though and just enjoying working on...
Update:
Progress has been pretty slow over the last few months primarily because of lack of time but i have managed to take a few weekends off to get the wheels rolling again. car has been off the road now for nearly 3 months and miss not being able to drive it :( still at least gives me some...
Re: No Compromise ph1 ITB build (Fastcar, BTM, TDF, RS Fab) - ITB update p77
great project man. btw how hard is it to wire that digital dash? will it just run off the ecu or do you need to do any hard wiring for the sensors?
held up well but its far from a stock cooper s. looks as if its been heavily modified but still even as completely standard they do hold the road well.
very impressive GTR but judging by the great margin in which the Veyron got spanked, i find it difficult to believe that it was a genuine race. Either the veyron is fucked or it wasn't trying imo. It was still good vid to watch though and would love it if i was wrong but realistically i think...
Cracking pics mikey. spotted the old galanza in the mix aswell haha. Would have loved to stretch the 9's legs with you guys but been stuck in edinburgh for the last while now.
Also your 197 looks quality mate. A cup spoiler, some lowering springs. set of 8k hid's and your sorted man :).
True, most dont understand and most think your an idiot for spending so much on an old jap car but as you say you buy a car for yourself to enjoy. If i were to go back i would not do anything differently and would do it all over again if i had to. Also i dont think you can loose much money on...
very nice indeed but paying £150k on a honda is insane and this is coming from a honda nut. Also ch!ppen your right parts are stupidly expensive on the nxs's. I have a friend who works for honda in Edinburgh and he was telling me about one owner who was hit with a £12k bill on his nsx.
very nice mate. The k20 is one of the best engines honda ever made ad they do handle nicely too. both of my friends have got ep3's and they are great fun. Also as said a toda, spoon n1 and b pipe would set it off nicely :)
yeh your right mate they are not made by spoon and are just re branded by Spoon. As you said mate alot of spoon stuff is just rebranded eg desmond regamasters, momo tuner steering wheel and even parts of the spoon strocker kit contains oem honda parts.
thats pretty expensive for oem blades...
Dont know if this has been posted up before but its spoon's k20 ek9, which has now been sold (around £30k). Apparently does 1.02secs around tsukuba and the known spec:
K20A from DC5: Blueprinted and honed by Spoon. Estimated 240-245bhp (Japanese horses). Also it has a slimmer head gasket...
Cheers revels mate :)
lol chris well spotted. Was worried that they might not have been original but a quick search, and a pic taken from the spoon type one headquarters in Japan confirmed they were. Have no idea why the poor spelling but must be an english-japanese thing lol.
yeh ek9.org has a wealth of info and its a good place to look for an ek9 as you can find out alot about it just by asking forum members. The one you just describes sounds abit dodgy, and believe me their are loads of them about so your best not to rush into anything until you find the right one...
Aye guy was very lucky so i heard, although knowing the right people helps lol. Still the paintwork looks good in the pics tbh and overall the car does look nice.
