what makes you say you need 3 paints ? just a base + the pearl is all you need really. providing your not going over a dark colour which you stated already that your not.
The ammount you requite depends on the painter.. but i would get 3litre of each to be on the safe side
yeah thoroughly clean the panel.. can use white spirits if you dont have panel wipe.. use a moist cloth/rag
dont flat the paint its not needed, just lacquer straight over the paint.
that sounds more like it.. should be fine then mate.
just give it 2-3 good coats.. then flat it back ( wet 600 lightly) then give 2more coats.. flat again then paint.
more than likely it will of ruined it.. a red scotch would of sufficed.
p40,p60 and p80 are ideally only for filler work.. or surface rust removal. using something so coarse on a plastic will ruin it unless you know how to properly repair the item.
Personally i would go to the scrapper and...
you flatted the plastic with 60 ?? or did you mean 600 ?
if you did it with 60 then thats wayyy to coarse. You will have to wet flat it with 600 till its very smooth and all he bobbly bits have gone... then high fill prime
red scotch the trim, followed by a few coats of primer.. leave 30 mins or so to dry.. then wet grey scotch or wet flat it with 600.. then paint.. 3-4 coats.. lacquer if you want it to have a gloss finish
what colour is your car ?
ideally.. it wants priming ( so none of the prev colour can bleed through). you then want the bonnet and both wings spraying so the colour can be blown into the wings and give a better match.
for me to do it would be approx 250 for a proper job.. some places will be...
can be the start of lacquer peel.. or trapped water from waterbased paint not been thoroughly dried before lacquering.. whichi will normally lead to lacquer peel anyway
or are you on about the bright smaller more white marks ?
so your wanting to do a turbo conversion but are asking very very basic questions. Be honest with yourself.. even if we do actually give you all the info you need are you ever going to even attempt this.. or even have the funds for it ?
threads like this pop up regular from dreamers and tbh i...
not really tbh.. also depends how mechanically able you are.
inlets matched, decat and rs tuner may be your best bet. Or keep an eye out for a used itb kit on the cheap.
do you have any chassis mods ? ie suspension + brakes
