Michelins are great, better in the rain than the dry I found. PS3's are predominantly a rain tyre over performance. The ideal winter tyre I found.
Cup is looking very clean ??
Just the way it works sometimes..
The 182 I bought off here destroyed a battery and an alternator within 2 days of ownership.
Was it sold with a fubar alternator and a new battery? Who knows. Once I bought it, my responsibility and you take it on the chin as a second hand car.
Don't pay any...
Having read this all the way through again, it's clearly been looked after with a no expense spared approach. With all the hard work you've put in to this, the sentimental value, time spent and maintenance costs I can see why you don't want it to go for too cheap.
I think the car is pretty...
Thanks man. I don't think there's a more capable, fun car than the Clio 182, especially for the price they are!
If you're genuinely interested I'll take a deposit, St Ives isn't far at all - used to be a Postman there for a while! Car isn't available until later this month so could work out...
I know I'll regret it as I'll never find another like this, that's why I bought it to begin with.
I'll be honest. I bought the Clio to replace my rather special M3. I decided to revert my M3 to standard and sell on that way. I can't come to sell it. The Clio is being sold for the very reason it...
I'm going to regret this..
New engine mount fitted and it's running better than ever so I cleaned it up and here it is;

I thought it looked a bit arch gappy, but I had just jacked it up and changed the wheels over - didn't have any time to settle. It will be dropped on coilovers soon I'd have thought.
They are something different, but is different good?
Awesome, that would be appreciated. Post it on up!
The...
That's a whole lot of work! Wish I had the space to do something like that.
That's Peters old M3? Looked around it at Snetterton in October - really nice example!
I thought the same to be honest, I'm sure the colour isn't doing them any favours either. The centre caps should help though..
For example the same style of wheel on my M3 -
Something a bit different, outside of the box. Lighter and stronger than all of them which is why I got them.
I offered up my brothers BBS RC's from his Abarth up against the Clio (17") just to get an idea of what it'll look like..
So I pulled the trigger and went to pick up these..
Had the wheels for a week and I've only just done a trial fit. Tyres will be binned as will the colour.. may even...
Very tongue in cheek comment Dan, I know it's a common repair on the exhaust hangers and it's something I highlighted to myself when purchasing the car which is why I've sorted it.
Not a dig at any previous owners as I know what they've both done to the car with receipts to prove it.
Rain didn't stop me today;
So I set about a couple of things that have been bugging me - first off I had a lot of exhaust rattle because of the heat shields becoming loose/falling apart. I managed to sheer 3/4 bolts I took off but still managed to salvage enough of the thread to get purchase...
Where abouts are you? I've seen it go to the shops once a week and that's about it!
Petrol blue gets all the comments, went to the main dealer and most of the sales guys were asking about it too. Spoke to a salesman that sold a Petrol Blue 182 brand new and he owned a LY for 5 years.. quite...
