That looks fantastic, surprisingly it doesn't look like it's "too much" in the cabin either with a clean install. Look forward to seeing the car at a meet, really want to pull the plug on one but other things have taken priority. Until I sell other car parts.
Cars looking very clean, silver...
Spotted another rare RenaultSport whilst shopping.. I've tried to buy this Sunflower before but she'll never sell it.
I went for a drive last night in the Clio, really enjoying the characteristics of the car and what it has to offer. Can't fault the smiles per mile!
One thing I have noticed...
So typical to British weather, it's overcast and spitting with rain. I thought I'd grab a few pictures so my efforts yesterday weren't gone to waste..
Plenty of things left to do with the PB, just got to find the time to sort it all out..
I couldn't swap this, it's likely to be a keeper even if the engine goes!
Thanks mate, it's a well specced car I just feel Turinis have been done to death (they do suit the Clios best though!) so will have to wait and see what changes are in store!
I would do but I'm nowhere near good enough...
So without intending to, I've spent the entire day on the clio and got well and truly carried away..
Old wipers and new Bosch Aero wipers for £16.99 off eBay.
Fitted those, clayed the glass and coated all windows with Gtechniq G1...
Then I noticed that the clay had no pickup and I decided...
Light dilution of all purpose cleaner, small bristle brush to agitate softly then microfibre to pick up the dirt. Followed by a re-fluff with a suede rubber tool.
Ahh, I read anything from 3-6ohms resistance would cancel out the sensor?
It was interesting to say the least. They've been doing work on sections of the A47 and chose not to grit parts of it the day before they did the work.. slid off the off ramp!
So I set about doing some work on the car yesterday. I fixed the Cruise control rocker switch by moving the V spring...
Just wanted to share that the car is performing quite well and settling into daily duties nicely.
I'm having intermittent ESP problems and the airbag light is still on (I need to take the wheel off to put resistors in and to clean the suede properly.)
In other news, very grateful for...
Autosmart Alu brite seems to work wonders - only done the engine undertray on the M3 and a test patch on the inlet of the 182 but it cleans everything off.
Finally grabbed 30 minutes to stick a bucket over it today. Deeper clean required.
Before
During
After (before tyre shine)
I wish I had got one a lot sooner than I did.
I should be doing a good clean on it and hopefully some sunlight comes out so I can show it off properly. I was dead set on getting a liquid yellow, I've fallen for Petrol Blue I really have!
I knew the reason why - I just really would have appreciated one on the drivers door ;)
So I set about fitting some new parts;
Genuine Valeo Renault alternator from Wolverhampton Renault..
I also got the best battery I could find/buy for the 182. Varta S6 silver with the highest CCA for a battery that size.
Purchased from...
A few choice modifications left to go but I like the car as it is.
Those cobbled streets are lethal to walk on in the rain You'll have to let me know about any local meets.
