LOL. So how much downforce does the diffuser on your FRS give, coupled with the mahoosive spoiler on the roof ;). In all seriousness, had a good look round an FRS yesterday and it did look the dogs. 300% chairs was conservative.
I should add, that an FRS IS my next car.
Nimbus is the best colour. Not into the shiny exhaust unless i was going for a full Milltek. Did you know that the shiny exhaust pipes interfere with the 40KG of downforce produced by the diffuser ;)
My mum has a 1.4 mk3 clio (not sure what model it is) and the ride in the 197 is definately firmer. What I noticed driving my mum's car is that although it corners well, it feels tall and wallowy. It feels like you are sitting on, rather than in the car.
The 197 feels much more connected to...
Black doesn't show of the lines as well as other colours imo. You must be a masochist looking at all the 197s out there. Seriously, when do you think you will get yours?
I think he means the front end when the 197 is behind you.
BTW Roy, I say a FRS in blue yesterday with 2 drainpipes for exhausts :S. I think it was lowered as well as the bottom of the frony splitter had banged on something
Love the car. The black and orange (if that is the right name for orange) go really well together.
Don't like the rear diffuser for the 225. Good job you didn't get it.
Driving home with the family and had to go 2 junctions on the M1. As I leave the slip road and move over to the fast lane, a beautifully modded (one of the most tasteful jobs I've seen) mkIV golf goes past.
They are well impressed with my 197 (and before you comment, this is not some chavvy...
The lack of interest is probably down to the economy rather than your car. As there are so few 197s on the road compared to say 182s, I reckon the price will stay firmer for longer. Try finding a better hot hatch for £8k.
Absolutely lush (love the Recaros) but at £23k for a second hand car, there are a lot of other cars you could have for the same money.
This deal will be your car + £8-9k
Good pics from an iphone. Agree with the others that lowering it a bit will make it look nicer and will get rid of the wallowy feel that non-sports have.
Nice car though.
