Market share counts for s**t when apple make more profit on mobile phones than the rest of the industry combined, its not a metric that Apple give two hoots about otherwise we'd have had the iPhone nano already.
Apple will continue to sell more and more mobile phones, I doubt they're...
Patents only have a grant period of 20 years.
If somebody came out with a unique way of operating a microwave they could rightfully patent it and protect it.
Patent damages are high in this case because of the sheer number of devices involved and because it was willful infringement, had they...
The figure is high because they were found guilty of wilfully infringing not one, but many patents. The moment you're guilty of wilful infringement the damages treble.
Apples suing culture? It's no different to any large corporation, the difference being that apple have innovated protected...
That's the theory, but you'd need to check that this is the way it's configured.
If you only have one name server and it goes down, then you have a problem as things won't resolve. If you have two and one goes down, then resolutions will happen on the second name server - although by the...
Find a freelancer who wants to do it. $$$ to develop. Then remember that if you want it only for your phone then you'll need to keep recompiling it and provisioning it as the dev certificates are only valid for 6 months. You have to reprovision after that and then renew your developer account...
You have 2 name servers for a reason.
Take down the one that "works" and boot in single user mode and then change the password.
Bring it back up and then fix the other ones display issues and then do the same.
I cringe when I have to deal with a genie-arse, I know so much more than them - you just have to go through the motions.
I also had an argument with one last year about a cable, he refused to believe it existed, in fact he failed to believe that the machine in question even had the port in...
Wow that's incredible, especially considering that a long text is just a series of normal texts with a header in the "user data" portion.
Long texts are no different to the network as it's the sending phone that splits and the receiving phone that reassembles the parts as they arrive, so quite...
iOS6 is a big enough reason for me for the first time since the 3G not to upgrade my phone and I haven't owned a non-apple phone since before the 3G.
Nice hardware, slick software but software that is seriously starting to become deficient in its feature set.
Verdict, I like it.
Ok, so inevitably it's not as smooth in places as an iPad, but, at £159 or £199 it's a bargain. I mainly want to use it on the train during my commute (tethering), I try to avoid taking the laptop as it's so fricking heavy and I once left it on the train. (Please ensure you...
I'm picking one up tonight from Tesco (16 gig).
To be honest, it's a no brainer (especially at the 8 gig price). It's priced to put the frighteners on Amazon (and potentially Apple if the rumours of a smaller iPad are actually true).
Will let you know what I think of it.
I take it you never used cheetah or puma then! Jaguar was when it really started to feel less beta.
It's slick now though and at least the upgrade price reflects the fact that they're now much more incremental upgrades.
I saw the first photo and knew where that was.
We were there from the 30th to the 14th of July, stayed at the escanyer apartments which is part of charlies/marvent.
Chrome on the iPad has one important feature.
It fixes an apple problem.
You cannot use iCloud.com in safari on ios, this is a f**king major pain in the ass if you are using somebody else's iPad and you want to check your mail. (Think travelling abroad)
Fortunate chrome has a "request desktop...
Tbh I personally wouldn't buy any device that wasn't a pure google device.
I also wouldn't have touched an android device with a barge pole prior to jellybean. (Mainly because of point 1, but also because of its not quite of polished feel)
However, I may well be tempted to try the next...
Is that because they're the most gullible people on the planet?
There are seriously better options for around the same money as any of these "high street" brands.
Theres your problem, netbeans.
It's written in java. Write once, run everywhere, horribly.
Java "desktop" applications are just plain nasty, they never behave as native applications should.
Oh and US keyboard is the only way to go if you're a programmer.
I use parallels a lot (full screen)...
Use the laptop as a bridge, i.e connect to the Internet via Ethernet and then share the connection via wifi and then you'll be able to use wire shark to capture packets.
The other ways I've done stuff like this in the past is to use a HUB (note hub, not router) because it will send all packets...
Your doing it wrong then! ;)
Spaces+fullscreen mode in lion makes development fricking awesome on a MBP.
I'd agree on anything prior to lion that development wasn't a very nice experience (especially ios apps) - but lion fixed that.
Getting iMessage to work on 3G can be a right pain in the ass. You can sail straight through the verification on WiFi, but as soon as you try the same thing in 3G it won't have any of it. (And you have to do it on 3G otherwise it won't bloody work when you're out and about).
Only way I found...
f**king app store too....everytime you do anything in it, you get.
