Thank f**k for the changes to the PIN requirements for watching recordings, was irritating me and my mrs was getting really hacked off with it.
The VM branded version of the iPad app isn't going to be out until next year, however, with a little bit of effort you can actually get the US TiVo app...
Not that it helps, but you'll probably find that most ISP's will charge for a static IP. Those that don't and usually niche providers (like A&A) and will have higher monthly costs anyway.
You'll need to turn on SMTP authentication on the laptop, at a guess he's using the same ISP at home that you do at work. When you're connected directly to your ISP you (rarely) need to authenticate to their SMTP server as it knows that you're "inside" their network.
When you go through a...
TiVo should be pretty awesome, there's lots of irritations and slowness at the moment, but they're just in the process of pushing out an update which should be the first of many which will fix the problems.
Multiroom streaming should be excellent, we've got 2 boxes, so being able to stream...
Yeah, but we find it much easier & quicker to control with an iPhone/iPad, although there's probably a plex remote or something.
If we hadn't had TiVO installed we'd probably still be running a jailbroken ATV, but with the TiVO it really doesn't gain us anything extra.
We use streamtome on the iPhone/iPad.
You run the server application on your mac and it transcodes stuff on the fly and sends it to your iPhone/iPad etc. The best bit is that it supports Airplay, so you select what you want to play on the iPhone, and then it serves it directly to the Apple TV...
I think you'd be amazed. With the reshell they properly seal the canal and they're extremely comfortable because they're moulded to each ear.
Not good for walking the streets in because you won't hear anything other than the music, but then I wouldn't be seen in public wearing over ear...
What's your reasoning for only wanting over ear? With the budget you're now saying you have, there's only one way I'd go:
Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10's + reshelled into custom moulded shells will put you at around £300 and will sound unbelievably awesome and fit perfectly.
The superhub is a big pile of s**t.
There's not even a f**king reboot link in the GUI.
Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.
At least they added modem mode so you can use a real router.
It's nothing but a pure show of scale of economies.
They can only get to a low build cost because they know they can sell then end product and not only that, sell it as a premium device.
Go ask the "other" tablet manufacturers who'd have trouble making an etch-a-sketch for less than the retail...
You'd have to look in the settings/preferences of each application which is putting the icon there.
The display one is in the preferences pane under displays.
The bluetooth one is in the bluetooth preferences.
Is there any reason that you have stuffit installed? It's a piece of crap and...
They have a problem in that if they choose to try to get the patent invalidated and they lose then they end up strengthening that patent.
I think the only grounds they have for invalidating it is prior art, but that should have prevented it being issued in the first place.
The unlock gesture...
Yep. Alternator.
I had the same fault appear almost exactly a year ago. Ended after being stuck in traffic jam for hours and then queuing to go through the rotherhithe tunnel, dashboard started lighting up like a christmas tree so I thought "f**k going through the tunnel" and drove past the...
They have a patent.
If you make a touchscreen phone with no physical buttons then you can't unlock it with a gesture without obtaining a rights to do so from apple, regardless of whether it's obvious or the only way to do it. The simple answer is, put a button on it.
The longer answer is...
There was a major reason behind that, mainly that it was (and still is) horrifically over complicated to implement (you could tell that Microsoft had a hand in the spec).
Not only that, but windows 98 didn't come with a whole load of class drivers, so if you wanted to create a USB device, you...
Why don't you just make a genius appointment?
Chances are even if it's out of warranty, if you can show the battery is fucked that they'll just replace the phone anyway.
We have an extension that is specifically for telemarketers. It has a really cheery woman telling the caller that they're held in a queue because all the other operators are busy helping other telemarketers and that their call will probably never be answered and then tells them that they can...
