if the filter goes into the standard airbox then there will be no change in sound. to fit a cone filter you need to remover the airbox completly and put it on the hose that you removed the box from.

i had to do mine for my last mot. took me ten minutes to do mine with a ramp at work. sounds like they are trying it on mate.

id go for a 106 gti. basic cars but very light and quick for the money they cost. few mods and a bit of striping and they are quite capable of scaring 1*2s (or so ive heard ;))
