but when you buy from the like of Catcams, thats a standard feature. they are either chill cast or billet.

no, it needs to be a specialist cam grinder. piper would be your best bet if your after a cheap hit. but be warned, they do increase valve loadings, and so wear on associated components. I really would look at specifically ground items...

the map sensor is the main issue, along with reverison.

you dont add material... if you can afford them get cams ground from blanks.

What I tend to find running "wild" cams on a single-throttle plenum inlet arrangment is they give a very rough idle due to exhaust reversion at closed throttle and inet "robbing" between the cylinders due to shared volume...this throws the fuelling way out. and this is typically WITHOUT a MAP...

Have they checked the inlet cam phase shifter? Or if the pluger is blocked/US.

If he's happy with it, its all good....

the coils fire in banks (2 of them), so 3 and 2 can be reversed, same with 4 and 1, as these cyls rise and fall together.

are you sure those figures arent already calculated as flywheel figures? that would seam alot more realistic.

its a problem every ecu running speed-density faces when you alter cam duration&overlap.

Fred, the uprated cams will affect inlet pressure considerably at idle, so a comparison to std Mbar for std cams and std timing is irrelavent...

Very good ecu's and in my opinion one of the better software set-ups.
