Right the cars on 94,400 miles. Its been making a whine which sounds like its coming from the passenger wheel or in that vicinity at pretty much exactly 68mph which quietens down to almost nothing by 70mph and below 65mph.
Have been freshening up bits and pieces and have done in the last 2...
New rear discs, changed front callipers over for painted ones and replaced the drivers side drive shaft (much swearing). Tried to adjust the handbrake cable but the 4th and final screw on the heat shield dthing rounded off so thats that fucked. Oh and sprayed copper grease all over the disc...
ooo err, span both fronts on (although thats right isn't it for the fronts???)
Ended up bodging the rear with ptfe. standing full on the brake and nothing leaks out so it'll have to do till tomorrow. Soaked it in wd40 so hopefully it'll budge tomorrow.
On a happy note i swapped out the drivers...
Yep spinning calliper onto line as per the guide on here (i think)
The nut and the metal line on the rears appears to be a sealed unit. The nut won't spin independantly of the metal line. If it should defo move whats the best way to free it up? the metal tube as already started flaking off...
Just swapped out the rear brake caliper, all fine, but when it put the brake line into the caliper the point at which its tight enough to stop fluid leaking out leaves the piston facing the wrong way.
Checked the calliper and line for anything stopping them tightening fully, nothing there in...
new grooved brembos on the front and put some painted carriers on. The painted callipers go on tomorrow when i've got time to bleed the brakes and put new braided lines on (and sort out the rear discs)
Probably wrong.. But could it be the tube that takes water to the headlight squirter? Failing that is it part of the air con. Pic of the connector face might be handy
Changed the gear box oil (94000 on the clock and its was black and had some lumpy bits) i stink like a ferret now though. Also sprayed my fuel rail guard matt black though ftw

I think the grill looks epic, glue it on (sort the N out though first)
Jesus the poor guy stopped replying almost a month ago and 2 pages back. He's basically had the Cliosport Hair-dryer treatment.
Like the look of Erica at www.sandyssuperstars.com from the above post though!
Had the car in the garage today to get the stupidly tight locking wheel nuts taken off the rears with some special tool to allow me to (for the first time ever take the rear wheels off) change the rear pads. Passenger side no bother, followed the really helpfull guide on here. Second side, wheel...
loads of pumps/motors on ebay / from a breakers for peanuts. Could be blocked lines/jets though if you can hear the pump trying. If it's not squirting out of the front or rear i'd go for the motor being the problem and either pull it out and trim the bit of rubber inside or just swap out for a...
Yeah the thing with the white bit on top which is between the two covers is the up/down adjuster. Could be knackered if you aren't hearing anything (they can be had for a fiver on ebay) or it might be that the little white stick which attaches to the internals in order to move it up and down has...
Cheers fella. Have to say the plennum/upper inlet was a piece of cake. Had a spare which meant there was no need to rush. Halfords vht matt black and gave it about 3 coats. Waited a day then took to the lettering with some 120 grit then 800 grit and it's come up lovely. Swapping it out was easy...
Lol cheers I did the red myself which is embarrassing. Think the engine was still warm (no patience). Didn't lool too bad with the cover on, but saw that engine bay thread and love the matt black look. Think all the trim is gonna have to come off for some satin black attention over the summer.
While i'm thinking about it. Sat on the drivers seat with a screw driver in my back pocket and snagged the material. Short of buying a second hand seat how do you patch the holey suade like material up?
Oh and a couple of weeks ago I put in PMS solid top mounts and strut brace (which meant the engine cover didn't fit any more so had to sort the paint job on the inlet manifold (or is it plennum i dunno). Also had the washer bottle out last weekend to replace the washer pump and had to silicone...
Replaced the badly painted inlet plennum with a nice matt black effort with the letters sanded back to bare metal. Also cleaned the throttle body and other sensors, cleaned the airbox and filter out, washed and SRP'd the car, auto finessed the trim so it looks black for 5mins and put gtechniq on...
Cheers I'll give that a look as well then. Bloody car, I swear its the solid top mounts combined with the 3rd world roads in Cardiff. Need a bloody 4x4 if they get much worse.
Balls it's gotten worse, 3 times on the way home, even small bumps are causing it to lurch and half stall. Checked HT leads, coil pack, battery etc and all seem secure. Has to be something electrical coming loose when the car moves suddenly. Will check the gearbox earth strap tomorrow if I get a...
