i dont know why but i think an LSD is one of the things id really like on a vehicle, above a lot of other things. the amount of times ive had a wheel spinning in my 1.4 and cant get traction it must be insane in a cup with a sh*tload more power!
dont think that quite right... i think it give drive to the wheel with more traction? instead of giving the wheel with no traction all the power like on a normal diff.
(not that im an expert but from what ive been reading)
if anyone else is interested theres an explanation here...

matt, out of interest what type of LSD did you get?
edit... just read about the different types of LSD, guesing its got some sort of...
what is an LSD... i knwo what it does but not how or what it loooks like...
is it an internal gearbox part?
Just to check i do know what it does... it stops one wheel getting all the power if it spins up by distributing the force to both wheels?
i went to one last year, quite good fun... took a megane cc and a laguna sport for a drive round the local countryside....
its worth going on the safety demo, they set up a track and demonstrate the esp etc then you get to have a go... was only a 1.6 megane but the block MADE me rag the tits...
got a missis so i dont care... blowies on tap
its a bit of a smear on pink wearwers i supose, like saying everyone on CS is an argumentitive sod. :devilish:
it is AC season.... mines come into play in the last weekend.... so annoying when you put it on and your mates roll the wondow down...
be patient my son and, in time, you will be colder than you could have ever dreamed of... heh heh.
could be water... happened to mine once.
pulled the connector off the back and sprayed with WD-40 and its been fine ever since. check there is no water in the lamp at the same time.
you can get a paint that fixes it.
go along the line untill you find the break, dab of paint and it joins the circuit and it starts working again.
There is a description of the problem here

was reading autoexpress in the dentists today and renault have a new concept car called zoe. 3 seater! based on the concept that most cars have 1.4 people in them on average and 2 seaters put people off. apparently there is more room inside zoe than in a clio! (but it looks like a twingo to me)...
is it a 1.4 8v?
i used to have all sorts of problems because no-where knew of the 99-00 1.4 8v models and they all thought it must be a 16v.
this was with most of the insurance companies who wanted to quote me for 98bhp 1.4 16v instead of my lowly 75bhp.
could be a similar thing!
hmm i wouldnt trust the G-tech for BHP figures, too many variables! (weight etc)
on a totally flat road (hard to find), and if you have the g-tech perfectly level inside the car then im pretty sure the physics of the g-tech are right.
(not gonna happen when the car sits back under...
like the red grille on a Golf GTi or the type-R logo on civics.... so people see you coming and move over :devilish:
i suppose thats what the gourdini stripes are for.
i think they spend thousands trying to improve build quality and reliability... they know that already. theres only so much refinement they can do to plastic dash mouldings on a budget of £13,500 a car!
i think they could have a look at the engine mounts though, they seem to be a common problem?
i made a false floor for about £15. took me a saturday morning.

"Brake booster: A vacuum device that multiplies pedal effort at the cost of pedal travel and pedal firmness. Virtually universal on passenger cars. "

i know a trained doorman, we were walking along and got a load of verbal for no reason and he just calmly turned round grabbed one of them in some sort of arm breaking non-leathal restraint so the bloke couldnt do anything
then he told him if he said anythign else hed break his arm. was well...
