does anyone know if this part is available seperately?
its a plastic bush that a ball joint sits in, and its held in with a circlip.
it seems to be used in just about all the renault gearboxes. its broken on my megane and every now and then the ball will pop out the plastic bush and i'll...
that connection means nothing really.. your internet speed will be much lower than that connection speed so it wont matter.
what virgin package are you on?
M = 2mb
L=4mb
XL=10mb
but the XL in some areas (guessing most areas by now) is 20mb (like mine :D), and i get 17mb via wireless...
i'm actualy posting about how my problem seems to have been fixed
saturday dinner time - usually quite busy yes? well still getting 16.8MB via wireless :D
few other people have posted about it being fixed for the past 3 days too :)
this is via newsleecher, just messed around with a couple of connection methods in turn,
am trying to find a way to make my wireless more stable/bit quicker.
sneeks, dont worry about speedtest.net
i get 7-11meg on there
but get 2.35MB.s transfer via cable (through router too!)
or 2.05MB/s transfer via wireless router
bit of a tip too, disable your routers built in firewall.. it took my connection down to 1.8ish!
ive said a few times in this thread there is no alternative in my area.. the exchange is still on the old system and isnt going to be LLU'd anytime soon.
i have had no problems with diamond cable, or ntl, its as soon as virgin decided to ''upgrade'' people to 20meg
yeah the lady at...
wow.. 1.40pm and STILL at 2mb/s!
stopped downloading anything so will see what happens at 4pm as i shouldnt be traffic shaped at all.
andy - its been crap since virgin ''upgraded'' everyone to 20mb and didnt bother investing money into the network to handle it. instead chose to traffic...
id have rather have 10 that works at 10 constantly, than have 20 between 3 and 8am then 1-4 for the rest of the day..
since ''upgrading'' to 20mb, today has been the best day, ive managed to get a good 4mb connection all day, and even saw it hit 18ishmb at 5pm, only to be back down to less...
speedtests are a waste of time really.. might aswell try 3 or 4 files off VM games site, add them together and multiply by 8 to get a better figure.
or add your newsgroup speed and a file or two from microsoft.com
what u get from this speedtest site...
check my newsgroups thread..
been getting 450kb/s all day (from 7am - not during traffic management period), gets to 5.30pm and it shoots up to 2000kb/s
during peak time!
will see how it is tomorrow.. if its crap at 10/11am then i'll be ringing up again
i tried 8000 yes as that had the least latency.. thats what the block at newshosting said anyway when i sent them my routretrace thing
i tried grabit client and that was even slower.
got an email off newshosting saying i should be on the european server and sent me a link, so ive used that...
ok sneeks, im at work tonight but when i get home at 6am.. im HOPING to see at least 1500..
as at 6am this morning i was geting a healthy 19mbit connection on crappy test sites.
been emailing newshosting support
