I must be the only one here who thinks this looks poo.
It's just a big white mass of styling nothingness with a fat arsed overhang behind the back wheels, more like an mpv version of the old ford GT90 than a sports hatch.
I'd have that twingo over it as it looks better imo.
I would put a set of well refurb'd turbines on it if I were you, however I'm not saying the idea with the ph2 wheels and red rim won't work. It would be an improovement, I'm not a big fan of the white r5gtt wheels on there at the mo.
Sounds like you prefer the cossie, the lux ones are very nice inside, Ford parts and service is cheaper than Renault.
I've only ever seen one and that was at a show..
For me it would be the vee but the cossie does have 4 seats and that would be better if you want to go out with the family...
Naturally, I like the way all clio's have been styled ;) but to me the ph1 172 looks much better from the front.
I don't mean this to offend anyone at all but I had no idea there was any difference to the front end of the ph2 172 to a standard ph2 before I started visiting this site as the...
it seems like a good price but at around 68k I replaced the cambelt (Renault recommend at 72k mile or 5 year) a cambelt service is going to cost you around £300.
Also you are only young, I don't want to sound negative but the insurers will be rubbing their hands together when they see you...
It is a bit creepy. The section where you follow the scientist, there are no lights except for your torch eeek!
Loads of atmosphere, only criticism is that after a while it looks all a bit samey.
I have it on the xbox, I love it still, I remember being so blown away by the graphics when I...
Yeah looks like a good place to stop. The pics arn't bad for a camera phone, what is it? I just found out my k800 has a macro abillity the other day :S
A guy I used to know who owned one carried a metal baking tray (like the ones you get in the canteen) and placed it on top of the engine when he parked it up for work. He did this because if it rained it would go down the big vents in the bonnet and the engine wouldn't start if it got damp! He...
I always like your updates, it makes such a nice change from the usual stuff and great to see it being done to a 1.6!
Impressive driving, you'd give Russ Swift a run for his money!
It's a mini marcos, based on a mini running gear with a fiberglass body, with a bad bodykit and bogged up arches and s**te spoilers. tbh even the origional ones were a bit pants.
The wheels are star mags, and look quite good on mini clubmans.
I thought the testers grabbed hold of the top and bottom of the tyre and pushed and pulled to feel for play in the bearing, then grab tyre 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock and rock to find free play in steering? They usually use a pry bar to check excess movement in the bushes while it's up there.
Not...
Oi you cheeky sausage how dare you imply that I am lazy, when did I suggest I don't wax my car? Also it's typhoon not tyfoon, buffoon. ;)
On weekends I'm getting my hands dirty doing up the house, yet I still find time to do a decent job on both my cars.
Running outside to wax my car with...
Frequently doing waxing is not really possible if you don't have a garage and it's raining.
If you cant get out to wax the car when it has been raining, for say 1 month or more, you want to know that the paint work is being protected during that harsh period of weather.
You could in that...
Yup, just got a 9oz tub and it it leaves a nice, wet glow to the finish while giving great protection and it is good value!!!! Collinite is made in Utica, New York and you know how harsh their winters are.
A good winter protection in my oppinion is AG EGP x2 applications followed by 476 x 2...
I used an out door cover a couple of years back mainly to keep sap off the paint, it was about £50 and it stated outdoor and breathable. However during the winter every morning the condensation had got under it and stuck the bloody thing to my car in the frost.
If you are going to get one you...
I've got one too in pearl black. Mk2 Ph1 1.6 16v :)
As Giles says they are quite rare, I've never seen another on the road, the photo's of Giles's car show it is a clean example; imo you could do a lot worse than buy a car as well looked after as his, off a cliosport club member no less...
Big deal, the kids in Concorde college about 20 years ago had brand new porsche's, ferrari's and lambo's when they were that age, bearing in mind they were sons of arabic oil tycoons. However a few daft crashes and stories of unacceptable driving soon put stop to all that, now the students there...
