Soon as I put new F1's on the back I had the same feeling.
My mate on his Impreza said the same when they are new.
I've got another problem with my front suspension at the moment, but it does get better when they wear in a bit more.
I wouldn't go above 32psi in the rears, more like...
I would go for the Brembo HC discs from GSF.com, I think they around £60 for the pair.
They will probably stock Renault pads 9ATE or Textar) for around £40 also.
Disconnect the battery.
Or turn the igition on with all the lights up, turn them on and off twice and you should get a beep.
Well thats how to turn them off anyway.
Just disconnect the positive first when removing and re-attach last.
I'm probably wrong.
But it won't mess up the alarm, but it will beep once when arming the alarm.
p.s. there is a clamp to undo down the RHS of battery also.
Some good mileage on that boy.
It's good to see someone making the most of their car.
By the look of the front tyres you have been having plenty of fun on the track.
I bet you need to clean the filter quite alot with the sand.
I need to get over there at some point really, my aunties...
You may see gains of 10 - 12 bhp in the midrange, but at peak around 5 bhp I would of thought.
You should try RS-Tuning.
You may find the car picking up better though.
Personally I would only be interested in remapping my car if it was turbo'd.
The Twingo will have that engine though, so that may work.
Plus i'm thinking if someone made a remap you may see around 120bhp and if the Twingo is alot lighter, that may be fun.
Replaced mine and it solved this problem.
I had it for months and drove me nuts driving through town everday creeking.
Mine wasn't under warranty, but the arm is only around £60.
Lol. I didn't realise it was you till the last minute as I haven't seen you with that car before.
I really like yours and John's cars, i'm getting more and more tempted with the 197 now.
I like that!!!
Some do look a bit naf.
But for the bhp potential for your pounds, it's hard to do better for an everyday car which doesn't cost to run like an Evo.
Is this a 53 reg black Clio.
If so that tool blasts up and down the road outside my house all the bl**dy time.
p.s. Dan - Was that you in the Red 197 on Friday night on by The Leap pub.
They are not to bad to change TBH.
You just need to turn the pistons, when pushing the piston back into calipers.
Apart from that, it's pretty easy to see what you need to do.
