cud do with a 7th gear as i understand it, same with the 172/182 really, buy the time ur cruisig at 80/90, the engine is screaming at you.

i used to have a 172 cup, and have driven the 197. the 197 rattles less, is better screwed together, has a better quality interior, optional recaros are fantastic and the 197 looks awesome. however, its less punchy the the 1*2 due to slightly more wieght and 6 speed gearbox, ur always changing...

me too, but we're comparing it to the ph1, which is essentially the same car, with naffer suspension, ph-ugly interior, and theyre older, making it harder to find unabused, low milage mint examples.
