Yeah as reliable as Renaults.;)
check out this review of the ST170, had trouble getting into the 8s 0-60, other than that they do seem great handling cars.

My dads mates was a huge Ford...
Is it the focus zetec ST170 engine by any chance? lol
If so I bet it will cost quite a bit to up it to 260bhp in the focus? judging by how much mine is to try and get over 320bhp? ;) (less of an increase)
Nice though if it can be done cheaply
Simon.
done a quick search on NET on "transmission losses ", power at wheels on a 2 wheel drive car tends to be 15% less than at flywheel and 22% less for a AWD.
So your car does seem a little down at 28% loss?
wheres BenR and AndyGDI when you need them...lol
Simon.
yeah 225bhp sounds about right as std is 230PS and bhp is about 98% of PS.
Torque seems a bot low, not sure why?? anyone?
163bhp at wheels was a lot lower than I would have thought, thats a drop of 62bhp or 28%?? is that right.:o
keep up the good work against the scoobies....;):D
Simon.
Sorry mate I dont like to rant at all, but someone talks bull I like to try and put them right...ok....;)
I thought we where discussing the Mk1 and Mk2, I have only been putting my side from lots and lots of info I have read on the matter, if you dont like it, so what?
and 0-100 is a...
Also remember that 1/4 mileing is just as much a test of "driver and car" where as 0-100mph is just a test of the car, because in 1/4 miles you go after the clock starts where as in 0-100 times the clock starts the moment you move.
0-100 is a better judge of car only.
Just my opinion...
I dont go in for 1/4 mile times, its an American thing...lol
Also the reason I pointed that site out (that you gave) was that you claim its "Real Figures"? explain then how a car that does 0-100 in 18.9 seconds can be only 0.2 seconds slower on 1/4 mile than a car that does 0-100 in 14.9...
Well it must be just me then, but I wouldnt buy any car with 50,000 miles already on it as I have no idea what the other owner/owners have been doing to it....
Its just my "Thing", but if others prefer older thrashed 50,000 miles cars then fair dos... :) 50,000 miles = twice round the...
You shouldnt be racing on the public highway so it kinda makes the question obsolete doesnt it, I mean for the V6 or Cup to win the driver would have to be a total nutter with NO regard for other road users at all.
Best to keep it on the track and there, the V6 has it.... :)
Are Rally cars...
That sounds good for your age, just amazed anyone vwould insure a 17 year old on such a fast car anyway??
Simon.
about time the "2 year Probation period" included a max bhp I feel??
These lot reckon NOS got them 1/4 in 11.4??? at 122mph??? seems a bit off??

4WD is great for cornering, it doesnt the V6 in 1/4, it just adds MORE weight and less power at the wheels than the current RWD system.
