You dont need to take the engine out for the Cam Belt. Remove the offside headlamp and replace the cambelt. Its a pig of a job and tok me around 4 hours to do. There are a few jobs requiring engine out but most can be done in situ! All parts prices are higher and its a horrible engine to work...

Mine did exactly the same! I got P*** off after many hours of messing about with it so I got the grinder out and nade the latch a little deeper. Solved the problem and locks everytime!

Stay clear mate! From your description it sounds alot of trouble. I had a MR2 and got hit hard in the back. Looking at the car it just needed a rear panle, rear bumper and lights. When the Insurance guy looked at they measured it and said the car was 1 inch shorter (chassis)!

No mate theres nothing wrong with it as its just the metal contracting and expanding under heat!..LOL....But I will have to charge you for looking at it ;)
