Ok try this, run the engine at around 2000rpm so the vehicle is missfiring, 1 by 1 remove & reconnect the injector plug. You will soon notice if it makes no differance or drops onto 2 cylinders. If its an injector fault, 1 should not change the engine rpm/note. You can do the same with plug...
I would call it the selector arm return spring but renault have some weird and wonderful names for some of there parts, and being french, often back to front!! PM brun or wests renault for a price with good discount!!
I must admit, we are a Ford premium dealer but beings i run the workshop i can pretty much do what i want lol. Having a soft spot for renaults doesn't help, but im not a trader on here so i better shut up ;)
ive changed full fat sport clutch's in less than 6 hours, thats a tad excessive!! I'd say more 4 hours for a mk1, so much less to deal with!! As an example, we would charge
£180 inc VAT + your choice of clutch kit.
Can you here the fuel pump prime just before the fuse pop's? I have seen a pump that has blocked up and kept popping the fuse, we later found it had been filled with contaminated eco type s**t and gunged the pump up!!
Have you had a diagnosis on it? It would help to see if your getting the same cylinder missfire or multiple cylinders. Try a coil pack, see if anyone has one to try for 5 mins to see, its an easy thing to swap! Failing that it could be an injector fault or even deeper like a circuitboard fault...
Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem
The ali cast piece is doing its job, it is keeping the bush solid but slotting nice and flush over the top!
Im sure if it was wrong it wouldn't fit properly, have play/movement but hey ho, im not having issues, im happy!! My engine does not move at all. I...

Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem
I find this strange, my set is 100% ok, does not rattle or come loose and the mount thread sticks out the top of the nut! Now im thinking i fitted mine correctly and all this mess about vibra technics maching them wrong is a load of balls. i spoke to k-tec when...
All come's down to budget and what you use your car for? KTR kit is complete with a
fully suited ECU that allow's you to keep cruise control etc (not that yours has it lol)
jenvey are the most proven and preferred choice! AT power are also quite good, ben has some on here and thinks they are great!! KTR sport also have a new DTH set, not out on the market yet though (finishing off development)
we probably avg'd about 100 mph last time, if it was not for the country roads i would have been left behind! lil clio did me proud, a few guys did mention they struggled to gain on me!! There's normally a few red h's, there easy to beat!!
Im sure you wont turn down an chance to waste some higher priced motor's! Plus they have a dim view on french motor's, and i quote " them clio sports are in hands of kids now who dont know what they are doing" lol! My mate is going in his GB270 impreza, and mine being standard all but brakes and...

fish and chips run April 11th
42 cars & counting, last run was very good!!
excess crankcase pressure as stated by danny, stock bottom end + boost = fail! F4R's do suffer with oil drain at high rpm anyway, but if its doing it at normal revs (3000-6000) then there something amiss downstairs!! Does it run too rich? Could be something as easy as bore washing!
