Remember these are not easy items to change on the 172 (erm unless you have a certain mod ;)) as you have to take off the plenum chamber/inlet manifold to get to the leads and plugs - thats why they are 72k mile service items.
Is this really trying to tell me that you had around 170lb/ft of torque before the unichip was fitted? did you have any work done before this? cams? headwork???
yup, go for it, Id say go for nos wizards myself, theyve got alot of installers around the place now, one just down the road from me, and their kit is good...
Viceroy - the car is almost complete, I saw it on saturday at the RR day at Power Engineering, it was great to see it, and even better to drive it :D
You can get the vid of my car at http://www.roamer.com/images/roamer_0002.wmvhttp://www.roamer.com/images/roamer_0002.wmv
Soz guys, but Im not going to start saying figures, cos I know what it can be like round here and if I say one rough figure now, if its higher than that figure when it comes out ill have people jumping on me :o
Prima.... Ha! dont make me laugh..... last time I talked to someone about their kit...
90db at idle - I knew it would be loud mate!
To pass the sound test for any tracks you are going to have to just stuff wire wool into the back box..... itll calm it down for the standing sound test and then just get flung out as you go round hehehehehe
Im gonna sound test mine when I get it...
LoL one of the mechs at my Renault dealership is 100% convinced that his mates williams 3 is the last one to roll off the production line, theyve checked on the renault system and everything..... hehe maybe theres 3 of them.:p
You shouldnt NEED camber correction bolts, but if you want to setup to get rid of some understear then they can be a good thing, eibach pro-kit is not really about the lowering, its about the handling increasing that comes from fitting them.
LoL yeah I know...... bloody renault servicing :@
Ah well, soon have the beasty back, then I only have to find another garage to store the williams in and Im sorted.
My insurance includes the fully comp use of courtesy cars for any work being carried out on either of my cars without even notifying them - thats Liverpool Victoria for ya.
LoL from renault it was a G for the upper part of a front seat leather!
Find a scrapped 172 and get the leather out of it, shouldnt cost more than £400-£600.
Seat covers are the tackiest thing going, please dont do that.
Just remember that these are Renault engines, so its never the same thing twice, so always make sure you get it checked..... cos running lean could kill ya engine in the long run.
Well, when I got mine I got sick of the sound of the OE speakers, so fitted Infinity 552is all round, and blimey what a difference it made, really good, a load more low down response and the clarity was superb...... so Id say try that..... or even stick the 552is in the back and get the...
Modern day ecus can cope with some flow rate and/or inlet temp changes, and adjusting the fueling accordingly, but alot of the time you do need to correct the fueling in some way, this can either be by a remap via a decent Superchips dealer or someone like Hill Power or BB, or you can fit an...
LoL and if I go there for a service are they going to say "Yes sir, some bits of your engine were missing so weve put them all back for you, just how it should be" LoL :p
I do have some pics, but Im just trying to get a web site together at the mo about the car, so wait a while and youll see for yourself, and as for fitting Im hoping to get a deal struck to get everything fitted at once place - which should make life alot easier for any customers.
