Speed wise same league as vtr with the genereal opinion on here being the clio is faster. From my experience pretty much same upto 60 only then did i feel i was closing the gap but only reached 80 so couldnt say after that

Mikesclio i paid less then that for a 1.6 16v brand new about 2 months after they came out. Got a cd player metallic paint electric sunroof and air con too-import though

National numbers valued my plate at £1500 about 2 weeks after i bought it for £250 even though an almost identical one would stil be available from the dvla at £250-make of that what you will-it would be interesting to ask them what they would give you for it

Id say the 1.6 16v here is far outnumbered by 172s

covers could be lighter :D Think when you start talking about weight though in cars like ours its either all or nothing. Either fully strip it or leave it as it is

I used an fm modulator but it also means fm quality

might work out cheaper to turn your cup into a 172 with a smashed up 172. Think a new ecu is needed for air-con though

ever noticed too how some sites/companies offer spring kits for 1.2 1.216v 1.416v and not the 1.6 then a different kit for the 172
