anyone exaplain this

Can anyone tell me why my car a "1.6 16V Dynamique + 3d (01-02)" with aircon as an extra is in 10 and yet a "1.6 16V Dynamique 3d (AC) (02 on)(03 on)" is ig 8.

Its not a mistake either becuase my car is always group 10 with the insurance companies i ring and quite frankly it isnt group 10 performance. For example cars like 206 1.6 16v is less then group 10 yaris 1.5 tsport less than group 10 and they both have lower 0-60(i this doesnt mean they are faster but as good an idication as i have).

Anyone offer a reason?

The last figure is the insurance group, group 4 for the diesel dynamique WITH aircon, but the dynamique+ WITHOUT is group 10!!!!! wtf?

Insurance companies dont need a reason. They probably get a list of new cars for classification and just throw a dart at a numbered list from 1-20



Oh and BTW the Dynamique + does have air con.

It wont be the full explaination, but because its got 3 doors its seen as more sporty than the 5dr.

Not 6 groups more though! - Likely a typo.

I was asked this by my insurer when getting the premium, "Is it a Dynamique Plus?"

WTF is a Plus? Its just a Dynamique as far as I know, with A/C as standard (even though I have climate added).
