For me I have an annoying buzzing up near the interior light. There's a fan under the light which pulls air over a temperature sensor for the air con. You can replace it and stop the buzzing, or unplug it, or get used to it eventually like I did haha
They are indeed the original Renault lockers, car was complete standard with full service history when I got it and no receipt's mention a change. There's a sticker that's been slapped on the locker box (where strangely I always keep said key) if that helps?
Hi Guys,
I have no idea how, or when, but my locking wheel nut key is gone after and extensive search followed by anger. I know the Renault OEM locks were made by Farad, they supply replacement keys but the wait time is about 2 weeks from the continent. Now I've noticed on eBay, you can buy...
I've just had the same advisory to change mine out, luckily looks like its only starting to split. It seems there three different sizes of outer passenger side boot? Heard about stretch boots too? Anyone know what size is correct? I've heard about stretch boots too but if I have to split the...
No Pictures, But also thought I should mention i've uprated the brakes slightly. Went for Brembo HC Discs with Mintex M1144's on the front, with OEM discs and ABS Rings and Bearings with Brembo OEM pads on the rear. All topped off with Goodridge braided hoses and ATE Super gold fluid from...
Few updates to my car since the last time I posted about it!#
First off, i've fitted a KTEC Recessed Supersports exhaust, and i must say the sound is awesome, not too loud in my opinion but just right, not quite sitting in the recess properly, although this may be down to the accuracy of my...
A Few stolen images from google may help visualize this a bit better...

The car we had at college had an actual kill switch in the dash, then one on the scuttle which was like a dummy switch if you like, linked to the main switch in the dash via cables similar to those used on bicycle brakes and remote fire extinguisher pulls etc.
Mine were left soaking in WD-40 every night for 7-10 days before changing. Unions came undone with an open ended spanner without rounding. Its all luck of the draw and obviously depends on corrosion etc but it didn't seem like that bad of a job. Of course you've always got the possibility of...
I Did this exact task yesterday.
I'd been spraying WD-40 on the unions for last week to try and help when it came to change day. I purchased some cheapy flare spanners but these didn't really fit so had to go open ended. Luckily the unions came undone. Just a manner of remove and replace after...
The 'Fitment on the Car' tab explains how the differing patterns make no difference to water dispersion.
I run mine at 32psi all round but to be fair i've managed to burn my fronts up in a few thousand miles just with road driving.
Not impressed as the Rainsport 2's seemed miles better
Just have to make sure the data can be used for tethering as the 4G router might flag as tethering use. Some providers restrict tethering data to stop exactly why you're doing 😂 just read the terms and check it for sure and check how the router uses the data and you should be fine
I've just fitted the Mintex M1144's and they require the same sanding of the paint from the tabs, literally just the paint and they fitted nicely into the carriers :)
Also rocking the Evil Motorsport dogbone and a powerflex exhaust insert (I'm aware I'm missing a bolt in the mount, the b*****d broke:tearsofjoy:). Ordered a load of brake bits from George too so the upgrades list is growing!
I've been thinking about the Skoda Fabia splitter to be fair, nice and cheap and subtle!
Team Dynamics Pro Race 3's in Glitter Gloss Silver, recently bought new from team dynamics. I've been thinking about AP Coilovers as they're fairly budget and apparently soft enough for road use?
Hi All,
Just realised I've never actually posted any pictures of my 172 on here, so I'm fixing that now, hopefully this works as I'm using the 'upload a file' function on a mobile so here goes nothing 😂 So far I've only changed the wheels since owning it but I hope to progress it on...
Household fibre broadband will be fibres ran to a street cab where BT or whoever will house their DSLAM Exchange equipment, closer you are to a DSLAM the better, in rural zones its sometimes possible toblibe closer to an exchange than a fibre enabled street cab, meaning you'd get faster lines...
Typically if you live in a rural area all the local infrastructure will he owned by BT/Openreach anyway, so swapping providers may not get you internet any quicker. If you're in a major city other providers are expanding their infrastructure so may be good to shop around
The measurement I gave you off mine was from a tensioner that was removed when having the cambelt changed and all tensioners and pulleys replaced due to bearing noise, turned out it was a shagged water pump so the tensioner should be in okay condition. Im assuming the measurement is correct!!
