Very much so. Britemax manufacture two metal products the first 'Easy Cut' which is a cleaner and polish, the second 'Final Shine' a metal polish and sealant. Final Shine would be a better bet for polished engine parts. ;)

Fine grade #00 wire wool is what you need.

Without any doubt Britemax Easy Cut is the best metal cleaner / polish. A lot less effort required than with autosol and others.
