Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem
meh. im in such a s**t mood i might just put some cheese, expanding foam and some cable ties in there and just hope it works.
Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem
I'll have another look back through the thread and see if I can get the top sorted myself this week.
cheers for the help :)
Re: K-tec Gearbox Mount Problem
so the ones that i've recieved today are faulty?
I need the replacements by tuesday 6th latest as I'm booked in with Rentech for fitting.
Re: Throttle Potentiometer - What to do?
I have breakdown cover, yes. but a truck on the ferry is about £200 and i'm sure RAC wouldn't want to help out with that. lol. im tempted to attempt getting it to the ferry. then if it doesn't start when i'm trying to get off i can just push it off/get...
Re: Throttle Potentiometer - What to do?
right, need a lot more help now :(
The car went from tolerable to undriveable today. went to meet Revels for a few pics but on the way the car went into limp mode... i tried the usual trick of turning it off and on again :p but to no avail... then the...
you can put more than one "layer" on if you want... it'll ensure you've got 100% coverage but in terms of finish the difference will be minimal.

There are still plenty of people out there who layer wax though... each to their own i guess.
Re: Throttle Potentiometer - What to do?
i fear mine may be the same too.
although the connection seems a logical explanation it doesn't seem to behave like a poor connection?
how much did the fix set you back?
also... would the jumping thing be linked to jumping your car off someone elses...
Re: Throttle Potentiometer - What to do?
mini update on this. After thinking the problem had 99% gone away (apart from the throttle occasionally being jumpy) it's now come back to haunt me. goes into limp mode on most journeys and dies on idle very regularly.
not ideal when a trip to the...
know what you mean Nikki. I think i was expecting a flawless finish. but there's a definite improvment :) just a shame the G220 packed in before i got a go at a few bits.
Cheers guys!
It's raining now so i'm going to leave any further work until next weekend prob. Will try and fix the G220 in the mean time and assess the paintwork again when the weather improves. then more layers of EGP and some wax can go on :)
this stuff :)

seems to work just as well as the megs tyre dressing i used before... plus i use it on exterior plastics.
I'm thinking of doing just that, Dave :) although the clio badge has still left some shitty remains which i cant seem to shift. plus one of the clips broke and is now rattling around inside the boot. lol. fail.
