Did you see the restored Mk1 Storm shell on ebay Matt?.. went for £1500 with most of the bits to complete.. It came on ebay the day after i had won mine.. Would have saved me some £££ on resto...
Its the first time ive ran out of bandwidth on photobucket:o..... not on a whoring mission with this car.. ive only post on here and the rocco forum... Im going to try hard to keep it low key
Still got the BM.... Daily transport of WIN ;)
p**n king LOL!!
Glad its had a warm welcome.. thanks...
Abit of both
Its booked in for some resto work and fresh paint
Mods wise.. It will be getting a new engine, coilovers and the 8x13 mad'ins but i will be keeping the old stuff to return back to standard should i ever get bored :o
I picked up this 1979 Mk1 Scirocco GLi / Storm on saturday on the way to VW Festival, so I took some pics of it parked up with my mates Mk1 Jetta
The rocco has been sat under a carport for 9 years and the Jetta has been sat in a garage for 10 years... they looked so cool with the old tax discs...
I would enquire about getting them in clio fitment... iirc the owner (Mike) of the Ph1 in the above pictures got them as a custom order from compomotive and they said never again
They are not cheap wheels true..... but they look cheap imo (chrome plastic)
Brand new BSX prices would cover a second hand set of BBS RM's... you would rather have BSX... thats fine
You don't have to justify anything to me & your welcome to air your opinions in my project thread(s) :)
well plenty of people like your rims on CS and everyone thinks you have splits.. so its all goood :)
IMHO.. I think your a fool for wasting your money on cheapo fake splits when you could buy real BBS RM split rims for similar money
The BBS would hold there money for years to come and not...
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Im quite happy to leave the scene now... Jord has it more than covered :approve:
Without doubt my favourite Mk1 to date... its all in the detail
LOL ... it needed ronals so bad nathan... memories lol great thread tbh
I was rolling on porker rims when i joined they didn't go down to well back then lol
Never catch me moaning about them tho;)... I can't fault the Williams but good examples are getting rarer
They are cheap to run imo but buy a nail and it will be a nightmare
