I picked up this 1979 Mk1 Scirocco GLi / Storm on saturday on the way to VW Festival, so I took some pics of it parked up with my mates Mk1 Jetta

The rocco has been sat under a carport for 9 years and the Jetta has been sat in a garage for 10 years... they looked so cool with the old tax discs in

The Jetta was picked up the weekend before and had a little welding, new brake lines and few other bit and bats and now has a 12month ticket

Its booked in for some resto work and fresh paint

Mods wise.. It will be getting a new engine, coilovers and the 8x13 mad'ins but i will be keeping the old stuff to return back to standard should i ever get bored

Yeh i saw it - not a mint & restored VW / AUDI fan really. I prefer used cars in superb nick. Looking for a MK1 Storm or GTi or an Audi 80 Sport pre 85
