Yes of course mate. Next time I'm working on the car, I'll get some more photos for you.
The only thing I was worried about was the tailpipe choices. As the thin slash cut IMO should be on Jap only, and the outwardly rolled is strictly old skool Ford. In the metal however I'm pleased with how...
This evenings event!
Fitted the Bilstein's to the rear, and got the Pure Motorsport exhaust system loosely fitted. I'm really impressed with the quality and design of it. Such a well put together, piece of kit! I'm itching to hear it! [emoji1]
Next on the to do list...
Fit the Bilstein's to...
It's a shame really because in the original 'dirt' you could use those same S1600 cars as normal rally cars!
Either way this is bloody awesome! Currently doing a 60's championship in my little Lancia Fulvia. She's a peach!
Oh...
And if you have a set of turtle beaches or similar, stick them...
Well mainly because they've been given such glowing reviews from most of you guys on the forum, and give a good balance for road and track use. Although granted might be a little too soft for hardcore track users!
I may end up regretting my choice and want something a bit more focused, but we...
Yeah I'm sure she will completely agree! 😂
No mate nothing to do with your age. Just When it comes to Trophy ownership/modifying pitfalls there's not much you haven't experienced, good and bad!
Jokes aside bud I hope you do come, as it would be great to finally meet you and...
That's what I thought mate. Just took a fair amount of convincing to the wife! [emoji6]
If your there at Blyton Andy you're more than welcome to jump in. We all know your the 'Trophy Godfather' it would be an honour! [emoji1]
That would be great bud.
I will be on track all day. Bring a helmet and your more than welcome to jump in for a few laps!
That offer goes for anyone. Your all welcome!
Haha! 😂
That's a fair point mate!
Thank you! She's a keeper so in my eyes worth spending a fair bit on.
Are you going to Blyton again this year bud? Although minus a Clio would be great to finally catch up with you in person!
MINI UPDATE:
Gearbox is out and the cause of my horrid noises were shagged main shaft bearings! So whilst that's getting rebuilt it would be rude not to renew and upgrade a few items!
Courtesy of @NorthloopCup the box will be treated with a lovely new Quaife, and a lightened flywheel...
As above really chaps!
You may or may not know, that my gearbox is rather poorly and will be removed next week for further investigation and rebuild.
So whilst its out I'm going for a Quaife LSD, and a lightened flywheel courtesy of @NorthloopCup
But regarding clutches there seems to be a...
Cheers bud!
I've just spoken to Bill (our local gearbox specialist) and to be fair he was honest, and said that's not something he can do. So back to the drawing board!
You seem to be the resident gearbox guru mate  would you be able to help?
I'm removing the gearbox sometime next week, but so far pretty much everyone agrees it sounds like the diff is whining like crazy. Almost sounds like my mates straight cut gearbox in his Mini... Either way whoever I take it to I'd like them to strip down the box for further inspection.
I'm...
Cheers Andy! She certainly goes well! Should be even better when the gearbox is sorted with a cheeky LSD fitted! [emoji6]
Looking forward to seeing yours once it's back together. From what Dan was saying its going to be pretty special!
Yeah that's it bud. I'll whip the air filter off later, and get measuring. It's just the internal diameter that's needed isn't it?
That would be a great help mate thank you.
I appreciate your advice mate. It's how I've managed to get the Trophy to where it is now thanks to the Clio community!
What size restrictor have you had made for yours? What benefit is there for fitting it after the charger?
I'm in the same boat as you bud. I suppose that's the problem with...
