Piston Heads Sunday Service - MBW 2016

This GT3 RS belongs to the guy I bought my Cayman off. We've stayed in contact as we're both big Porsche fans so it was nice to catch up yesterday. Do love a GT3!

    Sunny day car washing!

They both look fresh! T looks amazing. The T almost makes the 197 look ugly. Such a good looking little hot hatch.

    Oz wheels on 182

Why would you want to change what you've got now? You've got great wheels and they come in a great offset of ET35. It's what I've got, I've just added an additional 5mm spacer on the front.

    Oz wheels on 182

The wheels on their now looks like TD1.2s to me? They'll be ET35

    Oz wheels on 182

Every 15" OZ F1 I've seen or had, has been ET43. So like most people, you'd probably want 10-15mm spacers at a minimum.

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

That's exactly what I've been trying to figure out 😧 As even with the standard Renault rubbers the nut still wont fit. It's almost as if there's a design fault and the threaded section wasn't made long enough. Nah buddy, it goes on easy and smoothly. It was also supplied with the...

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

That's because you can get the nut on yours properly :P It's a great bit of kit mate. After I fitted it I did a soaking wet track day and I couldn't believe the amount of grip or pull it could give me out of the corners. Even on semi slicks. I was expecting to slip around like I had done in...

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

I've spoken to Cooksport and AST today. Waiting to hear back from Cooksport now. They could possible be repaired locally. But that would almost be a make do bodge, which could also affect the value if I ever need to sell them on. I just want them back to how they were really.

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

As some of you might know, I've always had an issue with the fitting of my rear top mounts since buying the ASTs. I'm not sure why but for some reason the nut has never been able to get on enough to be locked. I've got the Powerflex black top mount kit fitted, as shown below. This is nipped...

Not been in here for a while. But what a bloody good update for me to see! Looks incredible mate! Such an enjoyment to read your updates and see it progressing too. Such high quality workmanship with everything you do. Dare I ask how much the brake disc setup costs? Possible to run it with...

    V6 Belts Service

Lovely, thanks for sharing that with us matey. I know how much that all would have cost you!! But it's worth it with these cars. Shame about the gearbox though.

    Track phase 182

I'd speak to AST directly to get an adjuster. A lot more hope than with Curtis I think. As you say, when he's sorting out 10s of thousands of pounds worth of suspension for race teams. Little things, like an adjuster and my shock bolts are probably right at the back of his priority list...

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

Thanks mate  must have taken you ages to look through all of it. I wouldn't drive my car to a track day now. One because like you say, it's nice to know I can get home ok worst case. Two, because it's awful to drive on the road haha! My trailer is a PRG. Not entirely sure on the...

    Fletch's 150k 172 Project..

You reckon there's much in it with the weight saving? Especially if you go for bigger discs with the Brembos..

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

For the miles you've done Mark. Excluding the modifications. I think £600 in pretty reasonable to be honest. Will you be at Bedford this weekend?

Breaking cover......*AG content from page 45*

Is that just normal gearbox oil you're using? Or some special brew.. I was thinking of having my gauges somewhere like this: Thought it looked ok?
