my above comment was objective only - from a looks point of view only you can decide, they are reasonably different, and its a matter of personal preference. I only liked the Mk1s - didnt like the Mk2s at all when they were new - but they have grown on me.

2 x Mk1s - no real problems with either of them, and between them they had covered over 100k ! one covered over 60k in less than 2 years and one covered over 50k in just under 3 years.

you cant tell me that you have an average of 28mpg - youve only used 3 tanks of fuel in total !!!!!!!!!!!! thats not enough to even have an average !!!! lol !! ;)

well, done 7k miles - including one track day - doesnt need new tyres yet. get average of 24-25 mpg overall driving, which includes motorway and london - so lots of traffic driving - obviously comes down when "playing" ! has had some oil put in I have to say - first time we think it might...

bout time somebody hit back at this delusionary "wonderfulness" of blinkin German cars - we have a fleet 7 series that went back to the dealer about 6 times in the first 3 months we owned it - it was that well built - and cost a hell of a lot more than your average Renault I have to add !!!

great, the same as they are everywhere else !!! it was great on Curborough track, which is a very small, very twisty, no-straights hardly track ! :D and it performed wonderfully on those Scottish roads - ask anybody who was there !! :cool: [Edited by specialK on 12 May 2004 at 10:20pm]

exactly, there is a very big difference between the two ! just lift it next to any other clio bonnet and you will soon know !

Ive already told Simo - ours has nearly 7k on it now !!! and just keeps getting better and better. :D
